Assume good faith at all times. Crit is meant to be resolved, not "won". Give mutual respect for each other's work and ideas. Aggressiveness creates unproductive stress and conflict. If you are emotionally compromised, you are not fit to captain the Starship Enterprise need to step back, take a break, and then return when you're ready.

Anonymous commenting is DISABLED. If you want to receive anonymous crit anyways, please take advantage of the Private HMD thread (see below).

We have provided a form to post with, if you would like to use it. Mentioning things like canon points, permanent losses and recent major events in their lives in Paradisa may help give people a better idea of the character's mindset and current actions.

I love Rin, I always have (hence my bothering with Ukitake), but I feel you may have got a little insular in your tagging patterns. I've noticed that some people can get tagged back very quickly, and the people who maybe have less intimate CR can sometimes wait a while on tags.

I don't have any specific instances, and I don't think it's a HUGE problem, I just thought I'd mention it =)

I would like input on Noi, though. She is a completely new muse for me, and I wonder if I am making her consistent with her voice and her actions and such. Yes, I know her canon is lesser-known, but if anyone read her intro post, do you think I am handling her okay? Paradisa is such a weird, accommodating environment!

Okay with Sylvanas, okay with Zeke. Is the Vriska spark still there? I'm kind of second-guessing myself with her lately, to be honest. But then again, that may be because I am falling out of touch with the fandom.

I know a lot has been said about the Riful plot, and it's had it's own post thing and whatnot, but I would just like to give a piece of general crit that sort of relates to it, but isn't specifically about it. (Wow, that sentence just got confusing and weird).

Basically, I think you need to find a little better balance between the excitement of suspense, and the necessary communications. I know you put a call out lots for people to come to you about Riful stuff, but it was always (from what I can recall) a general 'If you want to be involved in something cool/big/in the future then IM me'. I'm not saying all the details should have been given away, as that's no fun, but perhaps when specific things happened - for example, Riful taking the townsfolk to experiment about death - there could have been a very clear OOC note that this had happened, so that all the people who had characters supposedly watching over the town would be in the know. If this DID happen, and I missed it, then I'm sorry for missing it like a failure.

However, I think this is something that doesn't just apply to Riful. The Alexstrasza canon bump mini plot, for example, is assumed to involve all the dragonsworn(?) simply by nature of them being sworn to her. Was this discussed with them before they had to make the IC decision? I realise this doesn't effect me personally, it was just something that vaguely concerned me tying in with the vague communication.

All of this aside, you are an amazing writer and all your characters are very distinct. I just don't want this to be a wall of crit, when you do a lot of things right as well. I hope this comment made sense and wasn't too rambly.

Ena, your Pinkie Pie is spot on perfect! In cannon I feel like she's a very delicate mix... she is incredibly annoying, and is always doing weird off the wall stuff that makes us as an audience roll our eyes. However, there is something very endearing about it all the while, so even if you do feel annoyed you can't resent her for it because... well, it's Pinkie Pie! And I feel like playing her it would be really easy to either play her as super annoying, or super lovable... but you fuse it together so that she's just perfect asdgash, and I can always hear her voice in comments :)

I don't know your canon, but I do have some major love for how well you balance threads and how quickly you tag back, as well as how long you backtag for.

However, sometimes it can feel as though your replies are a little rushed (for example, only a one or two word tag) as though maybe you're just writing the quickest reply to get through all of them? It's not a big thing, and it's not all the time, it's just something I've noticed on occasion.

Loss: Power downgrade. Meaning he can no longer consume humans, imitate them, use his devastators, or his vision-based powers.
Canon Point: After the first game's end, but before the start of the second game.
Notes: While nowhere near higher DC/Marvel levels of power, Alex is still pretty uber-hax when it comes to a straight physical battle. That being said, I'm trying to avoid making him too god-mod, because that just makes fights boring. Alex is also trying to not hurt bystanders, so that hampers him a lot. This is a guy who can kill people by accidentally glancing them with a blow, and sometimes has a hard time controlling his strength, so he has to be very careful when innocents are around.

Don't be afraid to message me or something, if you feel he's having too much of an advantage in a certain situation.

I'll be a little blunt and say that I really wouldn't think of picking up a fifth character yet, as I feel there are some serious issues with your AC at the moment.

I adore your characters, especially the Doc and Hard Harry, but it's quite hard to maintain CR with either from my perspective. I know that everyone has a life, and everyone has days where they don't feel like tagging, that's a-okay. But it's been a consistent pattern for the last few months as a whole, that your tags can take anything up to a week to get a reply to.

I'm sorry if that sounded harsh, and I want to reassure you again that I ADORE your characters, but I felt I needed to say something.

Notes: Allen has been here 4 1/2 years now. Because of all the time here and character development, he's more open with himself and a bit more comfortable in his own skin (aka more prone to going casual around people instead of mimicking Mana 24/7).
Specific Crit Requests: Two things! One is that I already was talked to regarding Allen's over-involvement in stuff and frankly? I couldn't agree more. A lot of the stuff he's been involved in was not completely my call, due to either people asking me to do so or very close CR getting involved into stuff that i felt like I'd be a douche to ignore - but I realize that was partly my fault for not exercising the term "NO" more. Even I'm getting sick of how much stuff Allen does. After the Riful Plot (due to plot/cr/closureee), I plan to throw him onto that good old backburner for a few months major plot wise. He'll still be active, just...keeping to small stuff. I'll even pull a Clark and make him fall asleep for a week if necessary >B(

The other issue is angst. His life has kinda sucked, but at the same time he's a Pollyanna sort of character. Am I angsting too much? Not enough? Do I need to make it more IC? I feel like I'm floundering with that a lot since on one hand...he's had some serious blows to him this year but on the other hand people get sick of seeing too much angst and he is a bounce back. So any thoughts on that would be great.

I know that Allen has a lot more CR than Zoe, so it's natural to see him around more, but I would still like to see Zoe a little more than she is at the moment.

It feels as though she rarely comments to anyone's posts, and so it can be quite hard to get/maintain CR with her (which I want like burning so... SELFISH CRIT?).

i'm quite comfortable with her overall, but i'm always open to suggestions or crit or anything.



i'm concerned that he's not enough of an asshole. i waver with his reactions sometimes. it's both me not wanting to step on anyone's toes, and wondering if it might be too much/not enough. i feel confident with him on most days, but at times i feel shaky. any suggestions or criticism are quite welcome.

Honestly, the only crit I've got for you is that sometimes you don't seem to wait long between posts. You've gotten better at it - a LOT better - but when you first brought Ted in, it seemed like you were posting with him every other day, and it made it hard for me to decide which thread to focus on.

You're really hitting your stride here, though, I think - I love stalking both your characters, and I'm sorry that you're so stressed out about your upcoming year. If there's ANYTHING you ever need to talk to me about, ping me and we'll do it up.

Personal Notes: I know my activity has been pretty spotty all summer. I'm incredibly sorry, and that's something I'm trying to work on.

One thing I really want crit on is whether or not my balance has improved. When I still had Ten, I know I started heavily favoring Jilly and taking incredibly long to get back to Kaylee or Booth tags. I know I'm still not perfect, but I'd like to know if it's improved and/or where you'd like to see more changes?

I think your balancing of the characters has improved, it's awesome to see Kaylee and Booth out and about just as much as Jilly =D

The only thing I would be careful of with Booth, is that quite a few of his recent posts have been heavily filtered and he's possibly the one I've seen tagging around least with non-canonmates. But that's not a massive problem by any means, and the balance has got WAY better.
