HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Comment with the names of the characters you play for feedback on your roleplaying. Other players will then reply to your comment telling you what they honestly think in a constructive manner. While the staff highly encourages everyone to participate, only comment if you are capable of giving and taking potentially harsh concrit in a mature, level-headed manner. Assume good faith at all times. Crit is meant to be resolved, not "won". Give mutual respect for each other's work and ideas. Aggressiveness creates unproductive stress and conflict. If you are emotionally compromised, you ~~are not fit to captain the Starship Enterprise~~ need to step back, take a break, and then return when you're ready.

Anonymous commenting is ENABLED. Anonymity doesn't detract from the validity of concrit. An anonymous compliment is a compliment; an anonymous crit is still a crit. However, if you are going to post anonymously, consider it your obligation to follow up –– it is frustrating for muns to never get a reply back, and HMD should be first and foremost an ongoing discussion.

We have provided a form to post with, if you would like to use it. Mentioning things like canon points, permanent losses and recent major events in their lives in Paradisa may help give people a better idea of the character's mindset and current actions.

Alternatively, you may choose to post a link to your private HMD thread on the character's journal and take comments there instead. The first thread of this post will be reserved for those people, and we will freeze those comments. People will be expected to follow the link to the character's individual HMD to give crit there.

I don't like the way I have seen you interact with other players at all. Your attitude in addition to that of your friends on places like the anon meme is also very off-putting. You come off as a group of bullies who don't care what anyone else has to say because you can just band together and make jokes about how you are all so cliquey omg wut 2 do wut 2 do????.

yeah, i do find that because of it, i'm never really sure how to write him without making him seem too much like one or the other -- whether too angry or too lenient. so that really means a lot to me.

Julian's very much an alpha male type which is why he has almost no CR with guys and tends to act incredibly abrasive when people try to put him in his place, and i'm a bit worried about him becoming too one-dimensional despite this too. i don't want him to seem just like he's angry all the time or something, so that's a really good idea! i have a few people in mind that i want to throw him at that should soften him up a bit, and with developing changes with some of his CR, hopefully it should be able to have him get a good look at the way he's been acting and calm himself down.

However Julian hasn't proven he's (for lack of better term) "worthy" of Stephanie's loyalty and friendship. He's rude to her a majority of the time, he seems to slut shame her, he has physically hurt her... I really cannot wrap my head around why she constantly seeks him out. It doesn't come off as an antagonistic relationship but like I said, falling for his whims for strange reasons I'd like Fudgey to explain.

As for the Cass thing, I understand she's very inactive but it doesn't excuse Stephanie ignoring someone who dropped the Batgirl mantle and disappeared shortly after.

I think that having as many characters as you do makes it hard to get any of them involved in things deeply. You're very obviously spread thin by the sheer number because they all don't have a lot of deeper CR beyond Christina's characters. I rarely see them getting out much and that's sad because you're a good RPer and you play your characters well, but it's hard to try and get anything past shallow CR with them because of your sheer character load. It's not about activity from what I've seen even before February, it's about how you have so many characters to try and handle, that you can't really give any of them the love and attention they deserve for getting involved in serious plotting.

That said, I also think you could do with a canon review for Sam because a lot of times he gets flat and two dimensional. I don't see much of the inherent, constant anger that he spends the entire series periodically confessing to, in particular, and his voice seems a little weak at times contributing to that flatness.

Sob, the saddest thing is that you are directly responsible for me reading Shiawase and Power Girl, so! Aside from what you've already mentioned regarding Uru, I really don't see much you can improve on...Peej and Aki are both spot-on, I think, and only need to get out a bit more! The only thought that comes off the top of my head is that they're both very much team players; Uru makes friends with everyone so that's not so bad, but considering their respective positions in Superhero League something something idk the names and SEES, getting them more involved with all the heroes/all the Persona-users might be a start on getting them more active!

The list of punishments you gave makes me really excited for this because I know with all the different types of heroes in Paradisa, deciding what's humane and what is The Right Way to punish her will cause a lot of conflict and tension. o_o

Now that she's gone and scooped up his things, he wouldn't really mind helping the good guys out a little if it means she'd be out of his hair. It'd be really subtle things like... I don't know, being a jerk and ratting her out because they happen to share a lapdog. It really depends on what happens before then, because he's flighty and noncommittal as fuck, but the possibility is still there. :')

Oh also I dropped a note about this to Arden on anontalk but I wanted to tell you here.

I think you do a lot of comics incorporation into Clark and how he would react to certain things and I think it's fantastic. It's obvious that you know your source material in and out and while maybe you don't know it well enough to play comics Clark, or maybe you just prefer Smallville Clark, idk, I love that you use it to flesh it out like that and give him a wider basis. It just makes Clark a much more solid character to have that kind of source knowledge backing him and it's why I will never be able to accept another Clark into my life.

Two months, then, sorry! I've been heavily preoccupied. ...I understand his loss is a bit much, and at the time of writing the app I didn't really understand the loss portion a hundred percent and was trying to differentiate mine from the other Dean's that have apped (otherwise I would've made his loss the impala or the memory of Cassie, or Lisa and Ben.) I'm in agreement wtih you that hunting and his childhood really shape the way he is, and who he is, but the loss isn't really something I can do anything about unless the mods will speak with me and allow me to change it to one of the listed above. If that's the case I'd be willing to retcon so that I could play Dean as something other than this blank slate. I don't enjoy it either.

I think the concern I have most worth mentioning has nothing to do with an individual character you play--I do agree with some anons about Julian's agressiveness sometimes, but really I have no business commenting on it as a serious concern since I am unfamiliar with his canon. And I actually really like Julian!

What I do worry over sometimes is that you prioritize tagging people from your characters' canon over anyone else. And I can definitely understand this--I have done it too on occasion. Everyone probably has at one point whether they mean to or not, so it isn't just you--but it is a trend I've noticed lately with your DC/Marvel characters and what has made me hesitant to tag you in the last few weeks.

Intentional or not it sometimes feels as though you would rather spend time exploring CR that is strictly of the shared canon variety. Most of his posts have been filtered to them, or deal only with them and in a way it feels like anyone else wanting CR with you should just get a DC/Marvel character if they want anything lasting rather than try with someone from another canon--this isn't to say it's just you who gives this impression. I just want to bring it to your attention!

All of your characters are so perfectly IC lmfao I can't even alegkjag. The only crit I have is that sometimes Angel's posts are mostly filters with a random action part or a hard to reply to part so it can be difficult to forge new CR with him. :( I've been trying and maybe I missed an opening but I never seem to find a post that seems open to strangers to reply to.

just hanging out with rin would be lovely! she's also intrigued at how "normal" rin is and she does admire her already for the outpost stuff.

i can't... even lie, i love her CR with tyki. also i wanted to thank you since it's creepy but fun at the same time and not jumping the gun and putting her in a really bad spot. i feel bad that she is going to be avoiding him with perona's warning and all but you know my open posts are always... open, heh.

i'd really love for rin and uru to get closer! /tl;dr everywhere
