While the staff highly encourages everyone to participate, only comment if you are capable of giving and taking potentially harsh concrit in a mature, level-headed manner. Assume good faith at all times. Crit is meant to be resolved, not "won". Give mutual respect for each other's work and ideas. Aggressiveness creates unproductive stress and conflict. If you are emotionally compromised, you are not fit to captain the Starship Enterprise need to step back, take a break, and then return when you're ready.

Anonymous commenting is ENABLED. Anonymity doesn't detract from the validity of concrit. An anonymous compliment is a compliment; an anonymous crit is still a crit. However, if you are going to post anonymously, consider it your obligation to follow up –– it is frustrating for muns to never get a reply back, and HMD should be first and foremost an ongoing discussion.

We have provided a form to post with, if you would like to use it. Mentioning things like canon points, permanent losses and recent major events in their lives in Paradisa may help give people a better idea of the character's mindset and current actions.

I don't think I really understand Dean's loss. To me, a loss like that is the equivalent of shucking most of Dean's character out of him and leaving him with a hollow shell that just like beer and mullet rock and pie instead of having the depth of what makes him Dean instead of a Han Solo archetype. It's incredibly limiting to rip all of that out of him and there are a lot of losses he could have that wouldn't shell him of anything deeper than surface level like that. I'm not saying hunting necessarily defines him, but taking some of his hunting career and most of his childhood really does take all of his depth away as a character.

Also he's only been here two months, not 3 or so.

Regarding activity levels -- first, I think I've finally gotten over worrying about "timing." I've held off before for some strange sense of NOT THE RIGHT TIME TO DO A POST and in all honesty that's not following the spirit of roleplay! I'll also be trying to do more action/or log playing, since face to face interactions are something I'd like to keep exploring. I'll continue making an effort to build CR for Sakura, if I've kept that as a slow build anyway, and I want to thank people who've put up with my backtagging that can take days. I'm never slow out of a lack of interest in you, but rather a lack of energy on my part.

Again, anything is valid to bring up as a concern to me, and I really welcome people doing so.

I'm probably biased buuuut I think your Sakura is a doll. I don't think you're getting annoying at all (haha wtf), and I wouldn't mind seeing her around more. I'm still impressed with her loss, to be honest. She might take it a little harder maybe? I admit I haven't read everything you've done with her so this might be a moot point, but I know you brought it up in her most recent post. I'm not really sure what goes through a person's mind when they lose their voice, but again I haven't had any complaints so far.

I love your Dick and honestly think he's the best on LJ.

However, I'm worried he's becoming too seclusive. Your activity has been improving yet I haven't seen any effort to tag outside of Harmony or the Batfamily. Even within the Batfamily, he is only really tagging Damian. I understand he is an extremely important person in Dick's life but I haven't seen him reach out to Jason yet since he arrived. In fact, I have to wonder if he's concerned at all.

You also have a habit of dropping threads. I really want CR with Dick but I don't want to feel I have to chase him down all the time to nab a couple of tags from him. You're great with him, I'd just love to see him being more available. :(

So, I'm not super up on this canon, but as far as I can tell, your Haurhi is pretty much perfect, having that perfect mix of kindness, obliviousness, and sarcasm. She's really great.

On the other side, I have a hard time noticing other people's tagging activity, but you do seem to tag her more with her castmates than anything. Get her out there a bit more? Unless I am also oblivious about her tags.

I might not know too much about Jamie, but his personality comes through clear and strong, and it's something that Liadrin feels she can really respond to. He seems to have all the right emotions in all the right places, so you get many, many win points from me. <3

Rinzler is so. hard. I do not know how you manage to play him off so well, but I am so glad that you do, because Clu needs that steady hand at his side to keep him from falling off the deep end...even if it means just enduring his tantrums with that practiced patience.

I honestly never liked Laura in the comics. Granted, I haven't been keeping up with Marvel at all for a while now and was always more of a Nori fan, but I really enjoyed interacting with her even if it was relatively brief (but that was only because we both play socially awkward types and there was nothing more to talk about without forcing it). Yeah I can't really comment at all on his character because I just see to little of him to even understand if you're handling anything wrong. Of course I'm also so behind on Naruto canon that my opinion on any characterization is probably void, anyway.

I will say that you need to shuck those nerves, because mostly everyone here is very friendly and wants to help you get out there and establish CR! I understand it's so difficult with characters like Sasuke, and if there's any way I can help, I want to! Because while I've been trying to seek out CR with him as Tomoe, I've also felt sort of deflated about it because it so often takes you weeks to respond with one tag, and in a medium to fast paced RP that's so very noticeable.

One thing I can suggest, that's been suggested by other people to some others, is when you make a post for a character, do it when you know you have at least an hour or more to dedicate to tagging, so threads can actually get somewhere? Backtagging is cool and all, but when it's all there is sometimes it can be hard to stay invested in that CR.

Also, music! Music definitely helps me, so setting up a FST for Sasuke on your Winamp or iTunes or whatever you use may help. Or watching character AMVs, reading good fanfics, whatever gets you jivin'~

I'm also aware nobody here really knows her canon so I'm really not expecting anything. I've had friends who don't play here help keep an eye on me who are very familiar with the character say I'm fine, so I may just be rambling and panicking. Heya! I don’t actually know Molotov’s canon, at all, but I really appreciate your commitment to back tagging in our super long thread of doom with her and Wolverine. :3 It’s great, because it allows for much more than just superficial CR, where two characters interact often, but only in short bursts, so that they never learn much about the other person, or their conversational ticks, etc. I’d honestly rather have fewer interactions that lasted longer, than have a ton of them that were just quick bouts, so I always love finding people who are up for that kind of thing. :D

How am I doing with the whole "moving between castle and outpost" part? I have noticed in some threads that other players and/or characters sometimes don't know which location she is at. My reasoning for it is that the main comm doesn't need a halfthousand "/pops in" "/leaves" posts, but if that's not enough, any input would be very useful.

My greatest concern when it comes to her is whether her tags come across as overly similar to Sakuya's, because their speech patterns and mannerisms are quite alike. (Shizuru does have an accent in canon, but there isn't a satisfactory way in which I can portray that in English.)

Have I been making her adjust too quickly to being in the castle? Since she's been in the game before, I may have rushed her development without noticing.
