While the staff highly encourages everyone to participate, only comment if you are capable of giving and taking potentially harsh concrit in a mature, level-headed manner. Assume good faith at all times. Crit is meant to be resolved, not "won". Give mutual respect for each other's work and ideas. Aggressiveness creates unproductive stress and conflict. If you are emotionally compromised, you ~~are not fit to captain the Starship Enterprise~~ need to step back, take a break, and then return when you're ready.

Anonymous commenting is ENABLED. Anonymity doesn't detract from the validity of concrit. An anonymous compliment is a compliment; an anonymous crit is still a crit. However, if you are going to post anonymously, consider it your obligation to follow up –– it is frustrating for muns to never get a reply back, and HMD should be first and foremost an ongoing discussion.

We have provided a form to post with, if you would like to use it. Mentioning things like canon points, permanent losses and recent major events in their lives in Paradisa may help give people a better idea of the character's mindset and current actions.

Alternatively, you may choose to post a link to your private HMD thread on the character's journal and take comments there instead. The first thread of this post will be reserved for those people, and we will freeze those comments. People will be expected to follow the link to the character's individual HMD to give crit there.

Let me just say...Emil is adorable LIKE HE SHOULD BE. I've only interacted with him a few times with my other muse, but I can practically hear Julie Anne Taylor when I read your tags. Him rushing back to try to petrify Slenderman was exactly the type of thing he would do.

Just out of curiosity, are you planning to canon update him? To...five years later or when he turns into a skeleton...8|

but i wasn't planning on permanently canon updating him to HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THAT emil, but i do want to do that for a loss. (i might update him to after the timeskip, though, just so he's more aware of why he is how he is.)

but ohhh man i really want to-- i think my main issue with him not really making bad jokes here is that we didn't get much of a feel for that in canon; the grimoire nier translations didn't really give us much of that, so i'd like to get my hands on it myself, to see if i could get a better handle on his brand of humor, but i'll definitely see what i could do!

ahaha, no, i would probably do it before they got to the chamber with her, or right after he regained his memories. more likely the latter, since there was some time before halua burst into action and uh. ate.....him.....

but yeah, he's cute, but...there are so many questions about him i wouldn't know how to answer. like how he bleeds...why he can breathe when he literally has no internal organs...you know, all of that good stuff.

when i first watched that scene, i was like '...did i miss something?' because he'd never joked around until then. maybe some stuff was lost in translation (it wouldn't be the only thing lost), but the replicant videos' text is really hard to read, so it's hard for me to really find out about that. i'd honestly love to, though. D:
