HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Comment with the names of the characters you play for feedback on your roleplaying. Other players will then reply to your comment telling you what they honestly think in a constructive manner. While the staff highly encourages everyone to participate, only comment if you are capable of giving and taking potentially harsh concrit in a mature, level-headed manner. Assume good faith at all times. Crit is meant to be resolved, not "won". Give mutual respect for each other's work and ideas. Aggressiveness creates unproductive stress and conflict. If you are emotionally compromised, you ~~are not fit to captain the Starship Enterprise~~ need to step back, take a break, and then return when you're ready.

Anonymous commenting is ENABLED. Anonymity doesn't detract from the validity of concrit. An anonymous compliment is a compliment; an anonymous crit is still a crit. However, if you are going to post anonymously, consider it your obligation to follow up –– it is frustrating for muns to never get a reply back, and HMD should be first and foremost an ongoing discussion.

We have provided a form to post with, if you would like to use it. Mentioning things like canon points, permanent losses and recent major events in their lives in Paradisa may help give people a better idea of the character's mindset and current actions.

Alternatively, you may choose to post a link to your private HMD thread on the character's journal and take comments there instead. The first thread of this post will be reserved for those people, and we will freeze those comments. People will be expected to follow the link to the character's individual HMD to give crit there.

This is actually very reassuring. Alleyne's voice is very monotone and serious and even when she's angry and yelling, she just sounds like a furious monotone. She's very lineface-y and only smiled a couple times in her entire canon, and all of those were Nowa-induced. I've been trying not to tag until I word it right enough that I can hear her say it in my head.

Well...her Japanese voice sounds like this. The dub sounds like she's constantly vomiting hot rage.

You are a fantastic player. Out of the canons I know, your characters' voices are wonderful. No complaint there.

But I have noticed that you tend to drop tags a lot unless it's with certain CR or muns. People will tag you and it's a day or two before they get one tag back and then you often drop the thread entirely. You're great about tagging new people, but often you won't comment around to characters' posts that you do have CR with beyond a select few. It can be frustrating because people do want CR with you but you make it hard to get anything that lasts long.

Honestly everything I know of Laura is from what I've seen other people do with her. Even so I am really impressed by your activity levels. I may not know her characterization well but, her threads so far have been really interesting to follow. Keep up the good work!

She's a pretty easy going character so I'm glad you think she's fun! All there is to know about the canon is it's a game where girls shoot lasers at each other and pretty bullet patterns....

That's a relief. I worry that I might think of her too much through Eiki's eyes rather than just Komachi as Komachi. They know most the same stuff but have some different opinions about it.

I think you're handling Abel the best way you can throughout all this. There's been so much drama/angst in his life and the usual people who can pull him out of it are absent. With that being said the canonbump will probably make it a lot easier on you. Paradisa will seem much better after Vanessa strangles him 8293829 times in a row.

As far as recommendations go for the canon bump... yeah I've got nothing. Elektra can knock him out for touching her or something if you get desperate enough.

i would very much like to fix that relationship. :( i've just... been so bad at it. every time i came close to making a filtered post (i had like a billion scenarios in my head it's so ridic) i backed out because it could... blow up again and considering damian just came from the slenderman plot i'd hate to add more stress.

definitely would love that. he really likes cassie and is intrigued by her ajkfhks all the blonds... i actually keep thinking in my head she might be the first person he'll openly talk to about the whole being dead shtick. maybe... i'm treading this line carefully because ah, i don't want to overdo it or downplay the consequences. e_e

I think he's okay on that front -- it was stressful, obviously, but kidnapping and near-death situations are pretty par for the course for him back home, and he's a soldier about it. He might not LIKE more fights and awkwardness or whatever, but at least it would be talking to her again.

And as for Aki's reaction to his own death, I daresay just play it however he might react, without worrying about overdoing it. Realistically, I don't think anyone could "overdo it" on a reaction to their own death, and if it took him a while or outbursts or whatever is the Aki-like thing to do, I think everyone would understand. The downplayed-deaths of the past shouldn't have too much bearing on the serious deaths of the moment.

And I would dig for them to talk *_* Dramatic sceeeenes.

Komachi's one of the best examples of the "Take it easy/Yukkuri" Touhou meme. I think only Meiling, Yuugi, and Suika would come close to rivaling her. She's a very laid back lady who likes her job and her naps and both are quite evident in your posting so far.

okay, i wanted to be 100% instead of jumping into anything blindfolded. i'm picky and... paranoid but that's obvious. akjfhejs...

then it's just a lot of focusing on training and not talking about it. 8D; but i will do that post with him up at a weird hour and i guess anyone who knows him well enough would be like, "well, that's odd!" i'm afraid of rushing it? and with rushing can come a bad mess and i hate backpedaling.

How am I doing with the whole "moving between castle and outpost" part? I have noticed in some threads that other players and/or characters sometimes don't know which location she is at. My reasoning for it is that the main comm doesn't need a halfthousand "/pops in" "/leaves" posts, but if that's not enough, any input would be very useful.

My greatest concern when it comes to her is whether her tags come across as overly similar to Sakuya's, because their speech patterns and mannerisms are quite alike. (Shizuru does have an accent in canon, but there isn't a satisfactory way in which I can portray that in English.)

I honestly don't know the canon, but I adore Emil. I absolutely adore him. So very very very much! /ahem.

Seriously, though, his interactions with all of my guys (Gos, Ed and Eleven) have been awesome. You do such a great job portraying a blind character, and his innocence is just too adorable for words. Ed and him playing in the snow is one of my favorite posts ever!

Loss: The memory of where he's supposed to take the book. While this might seem minor, especially in a setting like Paradisa, it is actually pretty important. One of Eli's main reasons for being so unshakable is how solid his faith is, and that he never feels lost. Without the knowledge of what direction he's meant to head in, he's going to feel lost for the first time in a long while.
Canon Point: Right when he and Solara are about to try and escape from George and Martha.
Notes: I realize his activity is TERRIBLE, since the plot started right after his arrival and I didn't want him in on that. Kaye and I agreed that it was IC for him and Solara to be wandering/exploring this whole time, so that explains his absence and lack of activity.
Specific Crit Requests: I don't expect much since he's barely been around, but anything off you DID notice feel free to tell me!

Seconding the comment about how awesome you are at playing multiple characters, each with such distinct voices. Seriously, I'm not really familiar with any of their canons, but I'm always so impressed at how well you can keep each of them so separate, unique, and full of personality. In short: you are awesome. ♥
