So we are still adding pages and updating things in the Paradisa Wiki! Here is a list of things that we've updated/added in over the past month!

* Resident Owned Businesses - In the City Royale - With a page for each business to fill out as they want!

* The Paradisa Bachelor Auction - Now it serves as a permanent reminder of the event! (WIP)

* Activity & Hiatuses - As mentioned at the last activity check, we've updated the policies here as well.

* Wish Granting - We've updated the Large Vehicles Significant Items to require mod permission and be allowed on Special Occasions and now also at the end of a world change plot.

* Temporary Losses - Back in April someone posed a question to us in the Questions Post and now our answer is reflected in the Wiki as well. We've defined that even while on a Temporary Loss you should still be playing the character that you have been approved to play in some way, shape, or form. They need to be present to be considered a resident, and while swapping aspects of your character out is a perfectly acceptable loss, we do require that at least one aspect of your character remains.

If anyone ever has any questions regarding policies or if something is acceptable, please don't hesitate to IM any of us, or send us a PM to the mod account. We do all discuss these policies together before we come to an agreement, so just be patient if we take a few days to get back to you. The August Activity Check is underway, and the HMD will be posted up soon as well.

Quick status update and some questions. Read this or you will find me gnawing on your kneecaps sometime tonight.

The shooting range now has its own page.
A small gallery has been added to the World Beyond page.
The Video Games, Animanga and Movies/TV application sections were getting convoluted, so there are now new pages for those. The new posts link to the old posts, if you ever need to get back to them for something. Break 'em in, folks ;)

ALSO:

How do we all feel about a week-long world-change plot this month? I know it's hard to answer without saying what it's about, but are we all in the mood for some uprooting and mass post sprees?

And how about the occasional mass post set in the general castle, unrelated to any major event, just to put in a few neutral playing grounds for everyone? Save it for events only?

And unrelated to that, how do we all feel about a plot that would start dealing out some answers to Paradisa's mysteries?

Weather Update: It's June!

Guess what this means? Well, now that the shock and awe of May's beauty has worn off, time to welcome in that beautiful season we know as summer. The skies during the day are a beautiful blue with rich, fluffy white clouds, it's warm with only a nice touch of humidity, and it's perfect light-clothing weather. The breeze is just light enough to keep it cool, and it's naturally a bit colder in the evenings.

And, of course, over the month, it'll gradually get hotter. Each day is a bit hotter than the last, in true June style.

SAY BACKPACK, SAY BACKPACK!

So! I busted out my non-existent cartography skills, and FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I MADE A MAP. So you people out wandering the World Beyond know where the hell you are, or something. :D

Now, the maps are bad (no, really) and whatnot. (Did you know there are no map generator programs for the Mac? FML.) If someone here happens to have actual cartography skills and wants to, uh, make a map that is actually more to scale, that would be fab :)

BANNER + FLOOR MAP UPDATE + TWO NEW ROOMS

Look at that GORGEOUS new banner <333 Say TY Fudgey, everyone!

The floor map has been UPDATED. What does this mean? Well...

To help Paradisa stop looking like a hotel and look more like a castle, we're going to make use of the towers. Castles have towers, right? Right. Some of the floors have therefore been converted into towers (with two rooms per floor) just to mix it up a bit. For sanity's sake, we're keeping the numbering system on the rooms, but all towers' stairwells are accessed from the first floor.

Floors 15-21 have been converted into towers. Characters on those floors may find themselves boggled when they get to the fourteenth floor and see the entrance to the roof, but no floors above that.

And introducing our two new rooms:

THE LAUNDRY ROOM

A bare little room on the fourteenth floor, with pale yellow walls and white tiled floors, and a few sets of front-loading washers and dryers. There's a sink, and a large window with a bench. No one knows what the point of this room is, as the castle never seemed to need a laundry room before to do laundry...

INSOLITUS

A bizarre room on the eleventh floor that is very much like an indoor children's playground, albeit in dark, natural colours. The nameplate says "Insolitus" in embossed letters, and opening the door reveals a small room with three large holes in the wall, just large enough for a grown man to crawl through. These holes lead to a HUGE mass of weaving tunnels and tubes lit by thousands of tiny white lights, like stars. The tunnels link up with ladders, staircases, ramps, platforms and open bridges, sometimes through open air with no apparent bottom, and sometimes through closed spaces. It seems to span at least a few stories, and it goes very deep. Whatever this is, it seems to be important.

New project, my dears.

The Character Records page is just to keep track of what characters have been in Paradisa before. This might be needed whenever people stumble across the Wanderer's Yard, way out yonder in the world beyond. Also, lovely "WE HAD A _____?" reactions.

We've gotten a head start with thanks to Morgan and Christina, but we need help. Even if you can just edit in all the characters you've played, or characters you sorely miss, whatever, it would be very appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who's cooperated and offered up their contact info over the last couple of days. In case anyone missed it, I'm directing you to THIS post to fill out your contact info for the wiki. We require players to register with our Wiki, so if you haven't done it already, please go do so now. It only takes a few seconds.

If you did offer your contact info and see something wrong, please let me know here. Remember that everything is case sensitive on the wiki, so if you capitalized something in your wiki name when you shouldn't have, it'll mess it up. Also, I didn't include anybodys alternate messenger name if they already used AIM, since that's our preferred method of contact here.

I'd also like to send out another reminder, and yes I know I'm nagging, to please put something in your user pages and character pages, even if it's just a repeat of your contact info. Players want to know who their fellow players are, and who plays the characters they interact with.

Plus, I just hate seeing all that red.

I realize many of you are just tired of filling out the wiki so much, when we've had so many crashes, but as a precaution I suggest you simply c/p everything you put on your wiki to a Notepad or Word file and save it. That way you have backup if the unthinkable should happen again.

All right, sorry for the TL;DR~! Thanks so much for all your cooperation.

ATTENTION, PLEASE.

Since our latest wiki has yet to turn crazysauce on us, it's probably time to actually update the Contacts List! We're sorry to have to bother you with this so often, but hopefully our wiki never crashes again. ...Or at least not anytime soon. /KNOCKS ON WOOD

Please c/p and fill out the following form. This is mandatory. If you know someone who's on hiatus, please direct them to this post as soon as they get back.

EDIT; Also, just a little note to please remember to update your character pages on the wiki. If nothing else, at least try to put your contact information there. It can be very frustrating for players when they want to know who plays a character, but can't find the information anywhere.

EDIT #2; Aaand I am retarded! Since this Wiki is bigger than the others, most of us couldn't pick our actual nicknames for our wiki names. So please re-comment (unless you can edit screened comments? idk) with the new form, including your nickname.

Hey guys.

So, about that wiki. ¬__¬

As most (or all?) of you know, ScribbleWiki decided to close down and that they were lying when they said all of our data was safe. Everything was actually gone, so! After pooling our cached versions and written versions together, the mods and helpers have managed to rewrite most of the wiki. Unfortunately not all of it is recent or up to date. WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Please check on both the TAKEN CHARACTERS and FLOOR MAP. If you see someone on there who was dropped, please let us know. If your character isn't listed on one (or both) of the lists, also comment and let us know.

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT IF YOU ARE NEW AND YOUR NEW CHARACTER COMMENT IS STILL THERE.
It could cause double listings on the floor map and that would not be good. Right? Right. ♥

Otherwise, go ahead and start putting your character pages back up and don't forget to register for an account. We'll be redoing the player page (again?) in a few days, so we'll need your new wiki names!

We are still working on it, we’ve called in an outside firm to help us with the problem. Your wikis are all still there, the server just is having trouble associating your subdomain with each wiki.

If it does not, in fact, come back (but it should!) I do have everything backed up including 99% of character pages, so nothing has been lost.

So, news on the wiki...

We made a new one on the chance the other one has gone kaput forever.

Unfortunately, the information we were able to save is out of date, but we're looking to you guys for help, especially on the floor map, which is almost a month old! Re-register and look over the floor map. If your character isn't in the room they should be, list the number in a reply to the FLOOR MAP section in the comments below.

If you see any characters that were dropped (we're still cleaning them out and off the floor map, for example), feel free to leave a comment in the DROPPED section in the comments below.

If you are new from the 23rd of April on, please reply to the TAKEN section in the comments below.

And since the contact sheet needs desperate updating, please fill out the form below, everyone. It'll help us clear out players who dropped by listing all the ones who have replied. :D

We'd greatly appreciate any way you can help us out, and thank you for bearing with us. We apologise for any of your lost pages but we did as best as we could to get as many as possible, though they are almost as old as the floor map itself.
