Hello everybody!

I'd just like to draw your attention to our Requested Characters page, which I have recently updated. It's been cleared of all requests for canons that are no longer represented in the game as well as character journals that have dropped, so it's looking pretty sparse!

If you have a castmate you would like to see in Paradisa, please pop on over and fill out the form provided on that page. You can also request characters from canons that aren't in the game at all, if you'd like to see somebody around!

Similarly, if you have requested characters previously, please double-check to make sure your lists are up-to-date. :)

The communities have been cleared out of all journals belonging to dropped characters, past plots, and temporary loss journals. If a journal of yours was a casualty of ~~war~~ cleaning, just let me know here and I'll see to it you're back in. This does include all temp journals that were let in for the Hogwarts plot, so if you're not done backtagging, again, just let us know!

The tags have also been cleaned up and consolidated in all of the communities. There shouldn't be any loss of active tags, but if there are, just drop a note here.

Now onto some items that require your input:

1) There are quite a few empty rooms on the Floor Map. The towers especially are starting to get a bit lonely while the floors remain free. If you'd like to have your character move down to a floor-level room, comment to the Floor Map with your new room choice. Don't worry about any adjustments or modifications your characters have done. Paradisa will make sure everything is moved along with them.

2) Our Plots Suggestions page sure could use some more suggestions! If you have any ideas, send them our way! Even if you just have an idea you'd like us to work with, the staff can handle the rest. Always be sure to specify clearly if you'd like the staff to run the plot or if you'd like to run it yourself.

As the application pages have all reached 30, 40 or even 50 pages, we've started new ones to make it easier on our internet connections and to reduce some clutter. All links to application posts have been updated, save Misc, who isn't cool enough for a new post.

All those still waiting for verdicts on still-pending apps or apps awaiting revisions: never fear! We have them all documented and will still be processing them. They do not need to be reposted.

I need some assistance, guys!

We're working on a DEATH PAGE; eventually it will have a "permissions post" of sort attached to it where people can post should their character be dying for whatever reason, but for now, we're just cataloguing all former deaths. A big reason for this is because we have the Graveyard on the castle grounds that shows tombstones of all the characters that have ever died in Paradisa. We kinda gotta know who is in there, with an easy-to-reference chart for new folk and whatnot. Because, you know, sometimes you pick up a character and you wanna know if they've died in the past, or if canonmates have, or what circumstances.... y'know. Hey, we could find out how many murders there has been. That's cool.

Anyway, please head over here and post as many deaths as you can think of, including dates/links/etc. There is a nice little form. Whether it's the death of one of your characters or someone else's, I'd really appreciate it!

(Also, this page is actually temporary; it'll be given a permanent home on the OOC comm when we're finished working on it.)

Guess what? I have bronchitis again. You know what that means? Me curled up on the couch for hours at a time, retagging old shit.

Everything between Dec 1st, 2006 and June 1st, 2008 is retagged. Everything. I'm gonna keep going tomorrow but for now I'm just going to leave some trivia.

So:

We have had over 2200 DIFFERENT characters. This does not include characters who have picked up more than once. Off the top of my head:

- Kairi from Kingdom Hearts has been picked up 11 times.
- Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII/Kingdom Hearts has been picked up 10 times.
- Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII has been picked up 7 times.
- Yuna from Final Fantasy X has been picked up 6 times.

Going by that, we could probably be close to 3000+ overall.

(Which, by the way, is an average of about 2 characters per day, as today is day 1491 of Paradisa.)

This includes 134 one-hit wonders –– characters who were picked up, posted once, dropped, and then never picked up ever again.

But that's not to say between those dates we only had 134 one-hit-wonders. There are lots of others who were picked up and posted only once, but were later picked up by someone else that aren't included in that number.

While 2008 was a long time ago and doesn't necessarily match what happens today, I just thought it was kind of a point of "woah."

So yeah.

MORE "PROJECT CLEANUP"

As you all may figure right now, I am Srs about this Cleaning Up Business to make Paradisa's history easier and more apparent. But I can't do this alone, as it is a huge task, and a bunch of you have been really, really, really amazing about helping out. But we're not done yet. And stuff.

This is totally optional, if you don't have time or just don't care you totally don't have to do anything. However, I've been keeping track of who has been contributing (ones that have told me, anyway) so when we complete this project, anyone who participates will receive a little something as a token of thanks from me. ♥ I really appreciate anyone who contributes.
