paradisaooc | Baby mine don't you cry

So, as May draws nearer, some of you may be asking if we're going to have our annual Baby Plot. For newcommers, this means for one week in May, Paradisa pairs up residents and gives them a living, screaming child to take care of. The child looks like both of it's parents, and babies from previous years can return. It's home ec, Paradisa style! This is always an optional plot. Information on how the last one ran over on LJ can be found here.

What were are wondering is if people still want this plot to happen, or if are you all bored of it? If we do hold it, it will likely be in one of the last two weeks of May, so bear that in mind too. So without further ado, A POLL!

This. I am a huge fan of the baby plot, but for the older players it would be a nice plot point to resolve already. Plus it leads to a nice opt out for people who are not big fans. They just stay at the castle or something idk.

I PICKED YES but I want to clarify here. I think that having the kids show up is always fun but it would be cool if there was a twist to it this year, like the babies showing up during a world change or something! That way new people can still enjoy the baby plot, but older players who have seen this several times don't feel like this is the same old thing that's happened forever.

I want it like burning too.

If we have to go to the other baby world okay, but for me at least, I was looking forward to having Wes and Fred try being real parents for Patricia in Wes' home (lots of memories building there) and at the Castle.

Again, just my opinion, but I'm iffy on the going elsewhere thing. I can understand why older players might want to change things up if they've been here for several. This is my second and so for me, I want a chance to enjoy things since last time it was hard and he was solo-dad to an infant for most of it. XD.

I am 100% in favor of repeating the Baby Plot at its usual time, but I do think it would be a really neat idea to change it up somehow, like some other people have mentioned above. I don't really have anything to add to the pool of ideas, except to say that I totally second this suggestion.

The baby plot is one of my favorite repeating plots, so I'm looking forward to it! But I totally love Christina's idea of going to wherever the kids are this time around, or otherwise changing it up a little.

WRONG ACCOUNT "whatsupcroc" is me!

I am going to vote yes -- but I am not certain how I feel about changed environment. Thus far they are sound like they are somewhat creepy/concerning and that much harder to 'leave' the child in at the end. I am still open to suggestions but at this point maybe there could be some fun changes/tweaks that still take place within confines of Paradisa itself.

I am planning on writing up my "pitch" for the change to the plot this weekend and via text messages with Jenn, we've both figured out hopefully a way that makes it seem less like abandonment, because I completely understand the emotional ties that characters build with these kids and having them leave at the end is always a difficult thing. So with what I am thinking of pitching to the mods is definitely to the side of "It's okay to say goodbye." vs "OMG MUST SAVE THE BBS FROM THE HORROR."

Granted, I've only done this plot once, but I kind of love it and I definitely want it to happen in some form, though I wouldn't mind a twist to it.

I was only part of this plot last year a tiny little bit, but I had a good time with it, so I'm definitely up for a repeat this year. At least this year I've got a trio of guys who'll be less complicated in the children department XD

I don't think Kirby should be a part of this unless there's a twist... as he's pretty much a baby himself XD but I'd love to see it happen regardless!
