It's time for another round of Game Discussion, also known as

HOW'S THE GAME?

Here we come together to discuss the game, its plots, the settings, and just about anything we can think of that we'd like to talk about, expand upon, improve, change, etc.

This is not an HMD for players and their characters; this should be about the game's function as a whole and not the people in it. If there is something you feel is absolutely necessary to address that involves a specific person, please IM a mod first to discuss it. We can be reached at valawie (Valerie), fan of todd (TF), or never die ftw (Ashley).

Anonymous will be left off for this round. Sock journals are allowed, but you will have to request comm access to post with them.

Paradisa doesn't do fourth-walling, but it does substitute out canons for alternate versions; I think the page link is broken, but here it is.

Like if someone wants to be a comic book fan, that's fine, just as long as it's not specifically Batman.

Well, DC comics do exist in the DC universe. They're just fake stories, rather than reflective of their actual lives... so Tim should already be used to that. ;) Especially after that time Bart leaked their real names to the public!

I just didn't like the whole "knowing absolutely everything thing about him" part. I wouldn't mind if people were like oh Batman's just an urban legend, oh Batman's the protector of Gotham City, but when people start getting to be like Oh Batman is Bruce Wayne and Bane broke his back, he wasn't really in a car accident, and Jason Todd came back to life after Superboy Prime punched reality when even the characters dont really know why Jason came back to life (I think?). That's where I start having issues with it.

Haha, yeah, I'm just pulling your leg on that one. I hate that stuff too; I mean, I don't think Clark would care too much, in the sense that... well, he's dealt with weirder and it's not like people can really hurt him... but the canon-puncturing is the worst part of it.

Yeah XDD Like I play Conner too in another game and I don't think he would really care all that much, Mr. I'm A Clone Of Superman And Glasses Are Stupid. He's only keeping a secret identity because the Tim in that game insists upon it ahaha. Since Tim is pretty much his only castmate and if someone came after Tim in an attempt to get to Conner, well, Conner feels sorry for the guy who tries hahaha. Tim on the other hand doesn't really want anyone to know about his life as Red Robin. Bats are lot more secretive.

Yeah. For Supers, it's more about protecting loved ones and having a quiet identity to retreat into out of the limelight, but in Paradisa, that's a little... fruitless, I guess.
