PLOT ROLL CALL

If you have

  • a character who witnessed an attack, or were themselves attacked by Rose during her temporary Loss
  • a character who is supernatural in origin (vampires, werewolves, witches, ghosts, etc.) to act as judge/jury for the case
  • a character who likes rubbernecking courtroom drama

then this plot is for you!

Cole's calling for a trial for Rose's Loss-induced attacks on the populace. This will probably take place in a few weeks depending on when it's convenient for Rose's mun and everyone else involved, (I'll update this!) If you sign up in this post assume Cole sent your character a judicial summons, which will mention specifically their expected role depending on what it is you want your character to be. (Though not obviously if they're on the defense team or witnesses for the defense).

We'll need 12 jury members and 1 judge, however many witnesses were present and want to testify (either for the defense or the prosecution), and if anyone wants to volunteer to be Rose's defense lawyer / team, etc.

Despite that Cole can be a bastard, he'll be playing it by the book and pushing for a verdict of aggravated assault against Rose. Rose's mun has said that she wants Rose to be acquitted and that's how the trial will go, but even if you think your character would vote guilty on the jury feel free to volunteer them, I'm told that Paradisa has no legal system (but that Iron Man's mun Paulie is working on setting one up?), so in lieu of anything else I'm assuming the jury can go as low as 9-3 not-guilty without a mistrial.

Also if I make any mistakes or if any of this is untrue for any reason, please tell me. I'm not a lawyer myself, I only play one on tv.

She likes Marian too; she thinks she's adorable- and I mean that in the most maternal and least patronizing way possible. But revenge is not justice, man.

Poor lawyers, out of a job. ;_;

Oh, tots. She's actually agree with a lot of that; if he's conniving, she's mildly paranoid. But her form of inquiry would be a lot quieter. And she's not really a "fullest extent of the law person." More of a "what I feel fits the situation best" person.
