HOW'S MY DRIVING?

Comment with the names of the characters you play for feedback on your roleplaying. Other players will then reply to your comment telling you what they honestly think in a constructive manner. While both praise and critique is welcome, we'd like to remind you that this is a valuable tool for many of our members. We'd like to request that all comments remain constructive.

While the staff highly encourages everyone to participate, only comment if you are capable of giving and taking potentially harsh concrit in a mature, level-headed manner. Assume good faith at all times. Crit is meant to be resolved, not "won". Give mutual respect for each other's work and ideas. Aggressiveness creates unproductive stress and conflict. If you are emotionally compromised, you are not fit to captain the Starship Enterprise need to step back, take a break, and then return when you're ready.

Anonymous commenting is ENABLED. Anonymity doesn't detract from the validity of concrit. An anonymous compliment is a compliment; an anonymous crit is still a crit. However, if you are going to post anonymously, consider it your obligation to follow up –– it is frustrating for muns to never get a reply back, and HMD should be first and foremost an ongoing discussion.

We have provided a form to post with, if you would like to use it. Mentioning things like canon points, permanent losses and recent major events in their lives in Paradisa may help give people a better idea of the character's mindset and current actions.

Alternatively, you may choose to post a link to your private HMD thread on the character's journal and take comments there instead. The first thread of this post will be reserved for those people, and we will freeze those comments. People will be expected to follow the link to the character's individual HMD to give crit there.

Doctrine of Labyrinths: Felix Harrowgate - lord_wizard

Canon Point: Between book 3 and 4
Notes: Time in Paradisa - 4 months. He's pretty active still, and I am no where near done with the Chimera stuff. I want to prod the members more, but don't want to be invasive.
Specific Crit Requests:
Felix is a very complex character. So complex that even I still can't comprehend a lot of what he does in canon. I've come to the realization that the information I provided for his personality in his app is, while still true, not necessarily accurate. And as the author herself has said, the only thing that really saves Felix from being a total Mary Sue is that he's an asshole. And you might have noticed he doesn't come off this way. Too me though, this isn't entirely true, and also it's hard to be an asshole to people you don't know, especially when he also badly wants people to like him, and it's a delicate balance to strike. So I'm slowly building up his CR circle so I promptly break it down (or try to. People here are stubborn). Given that info, or if ANYONE knows his canon and has crit on how I play Felix, please let me know.

I love Felix. <3 I love your Felix. You know this already, but I feel it needs repeating.

I loved our most recent thread, and seeing so much of his personality reflected there was just wonderful. Liadrin can see the flaws in him, but it doesn't make her like him any less, and I love that you've managed to really pull that off.

tl;dr, you are awesome. <3 Keep at it.
