So Vicious and Gren have been in game awhile now, and it's finally time for their first loss!

They're going back in time a few years to when they were both serving together in the war on Titan - basically before everybody betrayed each other. As far as Vicious knows, Spike is still his best friend and his girlfriend is waiting for him back home, and Gren hasn't yet spent time in a military prison and still has his 100% male body.

I'll pause so we can all laugh awkwardly.

Neither of them will have any castle memories, and will basically start the loss as castle newbies. The loss itself will start today and last a week or so, because I'm good at being specific.

I've already spoken to some of you about this and this is difficult to do, but I'm ripping off this old, molded band-aid and dropping Kate Kane from game and returning her to the incredibly awkward and confusing DCNU where fanfiction comes true. I love playing her, however in the past year she's stagnated and/or gone backwards in terms of character development. I've been sitting on this way too long, so now I'm officially letting go before this slowly turns into squatting.

First of all, thank you past and present CR for everything. Kate was my DC character who actually stuck, although it was intimidating to jump into everything with her initially. I'm glad I got a chance to play her here and honestly I can't thank you guys enough threading and plotting with me.

I will be backtagging my current threads. Also, Kate has left behind some things for some people. There will be letters delivered via ghost to Allen Walker, Arya Stark, Brock Samson, Hellboy, Mal Addict, and Stephanie Brown. Brock will be getting her red Fender guitar, Mal is asked to hold onto her West Point ring, Hellboy will receive a (blessed) silver knife, Steve will get her acoustic guitar, and Arya is receiving an evil eye protection bracelet. All of Kate's equipment will be vanishing, except for the motorcyles. The Batwoman one is probably safely moved to the cave (if that is something that is okay) and the regular Ducati will be around, presumably in the garage we are never sure if we have or not. Don't wreck it!! The Pyranees Mountain Dog (Church, named for Churchill) is unclaimed so whoever wants him can have him.

Perhaps somewhere down the line I will bring Kate back. I'm sorry. :( I'm now down to Uru if anyone would be interested in nabbing CR with her.

Anyway, thank you all again for the plots and threads in the two years she was here. :( ♥

Loss!

It's loss time for Twilight Sparkle.

As one can (possibly) tell from the icon, this loss will involve Twilight becoming a changeling! For those unfamiliar with My Little Pony lore, this means that she will becoming a unicorn with bug wings and holes in her legs. That's not too bad, right...?

Oh, right. She can change forms.... basically into anypony or anybody she meets or knows. Though that wouldn't be enough fun, so.... for the duration of this loss, she won't be able to control it, either! (Not that she could without training anyway, but hey. More fun to blame the loss for everything.) So she'll randomly become her friends, or maybe a mirror image of the person she's talking to...?

And that's not all! Changelings feed on love. Not hay, or grass, or even meat. Love. So when Twilight starts getting hungry, she's going to find out that she can't eat to make it go away... and she's going to have to find some love to eat. While the love from her friends to her might be enough to partially satiate it, she still might find herself turning into a character's loved one subconsciously. So she can potentially feed off of the person's love (not that she'd ever do that purposely.) Also, it makes for good drama.

At the end of the loss, she'll eventually lock herself away, then pass out from hunger. And at that point, her loss will end, and she'll also get a canonbump!

Question about the Masquerade Post:

So, the post has gone past 3k in comments, and I'm pretty sure it's going to keep rising. I'm already having loading lagging with it, and I'm wondering if maybe a second post shouldn't be put up? Maybe with the same people who did the top-tier posts just continuing with a link to the previous post?

I know that posts that exceed 3k can cause issues for the site, as well as potentially break, and I'd hate to see such an active post be inaccessible to people who want to play it.
