Hello Paradisa, this is Lock coming off of her Hiatus That Lasted Forever now that things at home have calmed down and I am feeling so much better about this RP thing. *A* I will still be a liiiittle slow getting to tags for the next few days (at least 'til the 4th or 5th) given that I am moving some stuff around but I am ready to get back in the game with both athousandmen & scalemates!

As I mentioned before they were both sleeping the weeks away. Yep, Hank is going to anonymously declare a bomb threat in the city royale! Luckily, there are no real bombs.

Okay guys! Figured I might as well type this up real quick 'cause this week looks like it might be a busy one for me.

First things first. My little sister's graduation is happening, so my brother and his family are coming down all the way from New York to visit. Which is awesome.

Reason I'm telling you all this is because I'll probably be ridiculously distracted to the point of a slowiatus - except, it might really end up being a full blow hiatus because of the possibility that my internet might be down till the 9th of this month starting tomorrow.

PEACE PATROL

So, Yuan's called a meeting for tomorrow. All the new members will be getting introduced to the rest of the Patrol. This is an excellent time to mingle and get CR!

I have a list of topics that will be brought up at the meeting by Yuan. They are as follows:

Notes on the roster:
Is there anyone I forgot? The one on the wiki has a lot of dropped names on it, so this is a little shaky. If I missed someone, tell me now!
If you feel your character has been mis-assigned, please bring it up here, ICly, or both, and we'll work out where they're supposed to be. This is a very tentative list
Most groups do not have an assigned leader yet - I'm hesitant to hand out IC positions to people I haven't spoken to OOCly, because I'm worried about putting too much strain on the muns. Contact me OOCly if you're interested in a leadership position for your character; I'll also be looking through options and contacting people.
Group leaders who have already been assigned are free to pick their own subordinates and confer with them. You'll be expected to report at the monthly meetings on what your group's been up to lately.

The next thing is patrolling assignments! I'm not sure how to actually handle this, so I'm opening the floor to discussion. As mentioned before, patrols are a CR opportunity, not an OOC requirement: ICly there is a schedule, but it's never going to be set in stone OOCly, and there's no requirement for posting. You could handwave all of them if you want, or you can make a post every week about patrolling through a different location. It's up to you guys, but I'd like to be sure that anyone who wants to do posts on this has the opportunity to, so: do you want to find your own partners, or should I work on assigning some?

And the final thing is entirely OOC, and very important: I've been toying with the idea of a separate OOC comm dedicated specifically to the Patrol, to help facilitate open communication. With an endeavor like this, it's really important that everyone be openly talking to one another, and pretty much impossible to get so many people in chat at the same time. We can continue doing this stuff in the main OOC comm, but I was thinking it might be useful if we weren't clogging up everyone else's friends lists with every new discussion that only relates to the Patrol, or even just to a part of the Patrol. It might make posting easier, too - I know I'm often hesitant to post something the whole comm will see if it's only relevant to a few people. Thoughts, questions, comments? Stfu Syl, everything's working fine the way it is?

Expedition plotting!

So I've been talking about this for a few months now, but because of various scheduling conflicts and general fail on my end, there hasn't been much action taken towards getting an expedition running. Well, that stops now. But I'm going to need help. Lots of it.

Now, the destination and general details have already been discussed with the mods - being Lente's Point and a timeline of about 4 days - but what I need from you all, gentlefolk of Paradisa, is two things:

1. When should this happen? Since this is all very opt-in, only those interested need comment, but I realize there are likely some people on hiatus that might want to get in on this as well.

The short version: Esther and Abel will be going on a loss requiring volunteers to play a part of one of two available sides.

Esther's team will be looking for volunteers to be humans or vampires who would align themselves with the Vatican for the purpose of protecting humans.

Abel's team will be looking for volunteers to be vampires of evil alignment who want to crush humanity. That's right, folks! These are the bad guys. We're looking for vampires who want to nom the crap out of or otherwise destroy/maim mankind. (Humans are the other other white meat.) Characters who are already vampires would be preferable (so we don't have to work out the abilities/strengths/etc), but we can totally turn you vamp if you're interested.

- Someone who is willing to research and look up unfamiliar series.
- Someone who has been in the game at least three months.
- Someone who intends to remain in the game for the forseeable future.
- Makes activity check consistently, and does not have any outstanding activity problems as noted on our charts.
