 I suppose this isn't really a surprise to anyone.

But I think it's time I dropped Shiki, and thus, out of the game.

You guys are all amazing, amazing human beings, and this has been nearly two of the best years of my internet life.

But the fact is that between the play that I'm madly, madly editing before it goes up in the fall, the novel that I'll be starting with the school department soon, and work in general... I just don't have the time to dedicate to Paradisa like you guys deserve. By this point I'm just kind of character squatting, and that's not fair or right. I had hoped that Shiki's loss would be a great hurrah for me in terms of activity, but it was taking so much time and planning that I just couldn't fit it in to my schedule... and then I had hoped to at least hold out to my/Shiki's birthday tomorrow and see what happens, but I realized that, because I'm at Otakon, being able to play that just isn't going to happen, so it's time for me to just recognize where I am and bow out.

I'm going to miss you all so, so much, and if I get lucky and have more time later, this is the first place I'll come back to!

But for now, I need to focus on what's going on in my real life.

...And if any of you happen to be at Otakon this weekend as well, you should come say hi if you see me! Today (Friday) I'm Stephen Colbert, tomorrow I'll be BBC Sherlock's Irene Adler, and Sunday I'll be Katniss Everdeen, with a bow and everything.

Oh, and Shiki will miss Phoenix, too! Or, well, she would, if she could remember him back in her home world. But thanks for the good luck wishes, and hopefully eventually things will calm down enough that I'll get to come back~

Aww... It was nice seeing you around, even if I didn't know Shiki's canon that well. I'm glad Dairine got to talk to her while she could. :)

Sadly I had to skip Otakon this year. I hope you had fun though! And if you go again next year, I'll most likely be there.

Otakon was pretty awesome this year... mostly for the cosplayers and the photoshoots, but they made it awesome, nonetheless! And I should probably be there next year, too, so maybe we'll get super lucky and run into each other there~

And it was fun playing with Dairine, too, even if I =don't know her canon, either. :)

Sigh... I wish I could have gone, but jetlag would have made getting there tricky, plus much harder to enjoy.
