House is really, really bored. With Helen gone and returned, James leaving and John playing the "my best friend is dead, woe to me" card, he's next in line as clinic head. You fools. So what does he do? Decides to declare the clinic a sovereign state with himself as the head of the new nation. He's really bored. Normally, this would just be your resident ass being his typical obnoxious self.

Except the castle decides to help.

Starting the sixth and lasting for two days, there is a brand new nation with said obnoxious ass as its head of state.

Yep.

So here is how this will play out.

1) Entry to or exit from the clinic is controlled.
You just won't be allowed through the door. Try to get through customs and immigration without valid documentation. Go on. No, don't do it. If you want to go in or out, you need a passport.

Good news, applications for a passport are found on a small table just to the side of the door on both sides. Fill it out, feed it into the fax-like machine there and wait for approval. Bad news, there's a test portion. With questions like, "What is your name?" "What is your purpose?" "What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?" and "What is King Greg the First's favorite amino acid?" (Hint: it's not lysine.)

It's a time consuming and potentially stressful process. Just like real life.

2) A small group comprised of medics, patients, visitors and the plain unlucky which was in the clinic at the time of the change are now citizens. And stuck there.
Memories will not be altered. There will be no change in attire, species or powers. They're just considered citizens now. You lucky ducks. I expect a coup within a day.

3) In case of emergency or an ouchie, the border is open to refugees.
If anyone requires medical attention, they will be admitted immediately. They'll be treated as political refugees. No rights as citizens (not that citizens have all that many since tyrant), but hey. Free health care.

4) …I had a fourth point and I lost it.

5) There is currency. There is a flag*. There is an anthem.**
This new nation is legit okay.

6) This will only last two days.
It's to be a lighthearted, short event. Midnight the second day, everything returns to normal. What will you do in the meantime? Help establish friendly relations between the two nations? Smoke weed with your king? Change that anthem because there are children present? It's up to you!
