ACTIVITY CHECK -- ADDITIONAL THREADS FOR SEPTEMBER

[paradisamods]

The following characters require additional threads and/or logs to fulfill activity criteria for September. The hiatus post was cleared of any expired hiatus dates, so any of the individuals who were on a valid hiatus during the month of September should not find their characters here. All the terms for activity requirements are detailed here.

Keep in mind that if you do not comment on the hiatus post or let a mod know, your hiatus does not count. It is your responsibility to comment on the hiatus post. Making a hiatus note on the OOC comm does not count.

If you spot any mistakes or dropped characters, please let us know.

You have until October 7th to comment with additional threads from the month of September. Those who do not supply any or sufficient additional threads will be moved to the sweep list. We've noted who needs reduced amounts due to hiatus.

I completely dropped the ball, especially with Tomoe, and I really have no excuse. This has happened too often with her recently, so I think I'm going to admit defeat here and drop her, because I don't have enough threads to save her butt this time.

Can I ask why the logs comm isn't being checked? I know this isn't the How's the Game - but considering the fact that the logs comm doesn't get checked by the members of the game as much because people have started these 'room filters' and open actionspam posts in the journal comm instead of the log comm, it's really disheartening to know that not even the mods are checking it for activity - when it's something that is acceptable as activity.

Especially since, this was a month that held Headspace plot where a lot of the members of the game put up logs for their headspace so that they could keep these things out of the journal.

We're not asking the mods to check for all of our tagging threads, but all it takes, when doing your part of the AC, is taking the list of people who haven't posted enough in the journal comm and seeing if they participated in anything in the log comm. We tag our posts for that reason.

I just think it's not going to make the members of the community want to check the log comm, or use it, if not even the mods are paying attention to it.


Can I also ask why the hiatus post gets cleaned off when the AC is posted instead of after? I put up a hiatus note for myself from Aug 28th to Sept 13th and while I know that isn't 14 days, it's still 13 days and if I hadn't made AC or if I had an emergency stem off of that, I would've hated to think that I couldn't have drawn to that comment and said that I was only 1 day shy of only needing to do half my activity.

If I need to move this to the How's the Game, I'll do that, but I would like to know.

The logs community is being checked. However, we check only for logs that are posted by that character, we don't go through the posts and check for the threads within that post. There's no intent to discourage activity in the log community - we just don't read through every log to see how many comments the person has within the log post. If the character is tagged on the post but wasn't the one to post it, that could mean that they have one comment or one hundred, so we can't just check people off based on being tagged in to a log.

We keep a mod chart of all hiatuses, so even if it's cleared off, we still know how long your hiatus was intended for. This applies to everyone, but in the specific circumstance you cited, we will still know that your hiatus extended 13 days into September and keep it in consideration.
