NYC PLOT

DAY ONE (November 2nd)

Characters will wake up in their apartments/houses/cardboard boxes/etc. All powers and special abilities will be gone. They will still have their journals, along with a piece of paper that's attached to it. This piece of paper will detail where their apartment is, what their job is, how to get back and forth, etc. As the 2nd is A SUNDAY, many characters will not have to work and can spend the day exploring. They will also be provided with a little bit of food in their apartments since they haven't gotten a paycheck to buy food yet.

DAY TWO (November 3rd)

Off to work/school you go, everyone! Everyone will be expected to go to their respective jobs and work. (For the sake of the plot, everyone will receive a daily paycheck!) For anyone who gets off early or is unemployed, there will be a fashion show gone wrong today. All the models ran away, so if your character is attractive, feel free to have them plucked off the street and forced into pretty clothes and onto the runway.

DAY THREE (November 4th)

Hope you haven't gotten fired/expelled yet! Today is another work/school day. It's also Election Day! Based on what the real life results are, the plot will go along with whatever actually happens with the election. Feel free to have your character .... mostly not care. LMFAO. There will most likely be rallying/celebrating/etc. going on, though, so make note of that!

DAY FOUR (November 5th)

Work/school as usual! I bet you're getting pretty tired of that. Today there will also be a gay pride parade (since Paradisa's flag is a rainbow with beer, hopefully some of your characters will be there .. LMAO) and a gigantic picnic in Central Park.

DAY FIVE (November 6th)

It's been pretty regular fall weather in NYC so far, but today it's going to be extra, extra cold. Everything is going to ice over and nobody will be able to really go anywhere. ): Journals, phones, and TVs will still work, though!

DAY SIX (November 7th)

Today it's going to gradually get warmer and warmer throughout the day, until it's UNBEARABLY hot. The temperature will keep increasing through the night, which should be the cause of a lot of "WTF"ing. Citizens will be encouraged to evacuate.

DAY SEVEN (November 8th)

The first half of today is going to suck! Since everything has melted from the heat, everything is going to start getting flooded. Then, a gigantic tidal wave will appear out of nowhere and wreck the city. But while the city is wrecked, right before they can get hurt, your character will suddenly feel a bit disembodied and - BAM! They'll be back in Paradisa. But there'll be one tiny change ... there'll be weather. :D

FAQ
Will there be internets!?
YES there will be internets. However, anything relevant to your character's canon will basically be wiped out, so they won't be able to find anything about themselves or their series. Characters won't be able to search for their friends, either.

What do I do if my character is retarded and can't figure out how to get to work?
You can have them get lost because it's funny and write in the journal to ask someone to come save them. Or, if you don't want that to happen, you can have them automatically have a maid or assistant of some sort who takes them to work.

What do I do if my character is retarded and can't figure out how to use technology?
Ask in the journal! There are plenty of modern, hip citizens who can give your character a hand.

I don't think my character's job pays realistically enough to get a good apartment, or they're a student and wouldn't be able to afford it. But I don't want them to live in a gross apartment, either. What do I do?
You could have a mysterious benefactor be paying for them to have a good apartment, if you want! Or, of course, you could get together a couple people and share an apartment. In any case, though it's still New York City, it's Paradisa's version of New York City, which means things that are unexplainable and weird are still going to happen.

Can my character travel out of NYC?
They can go to the areas immediately surrounding it, but once they go too far away they will end up back at their apartment. LOL.

I don't like any of the events that have been listed for characters to do. What do I do?
Well, there's a million different things going on in such a huge city every day. If you don't want to do the events that we've put together, feel free to look up events going on now in the city, or make something up yourself! BE CREATIVE, PLEASE!
