otherwise known as DEEPAVALI, meaning “row of lamps”, this important festival is also known as the “festival of lights”. celebrated in india and throughout the world, the traditions of this holiday vary by region and religion, but the tone and message is largely the same – to banish the darkness and welcome in prosperity and happiness in the coming year.

DAY FIVE; BHAYYA-DUI

Traditionally this final day of Diwali is a day when sisters and brothers exchange gifts and enjoy meals together, originating from a story about Yamraj, the God of Death, and his sister Yami. Since most residents do not have family in Paradisa, this will be a day for giving between friends, as indicated by the note you'll find at your door today. Hope you weren’t stingy with all that money. A small PLATE OF SWEETS will appear in each residents’ room alone with another note saying simply – “Spread the joy”.  Meet with your friends, exchange gifts, and enjoy the togetherness of the day.

Hi everyone!

Last year, I was much more into preparing for this thing, but time she is a fickle bitch and I completely let this holiday slip by me.

However! Jo is still up for taking the kids in the castle Trick-Or-Treating around the castle and into the city again. Last year I did it in the main comm, but this year I'm going to do it in the LOGS comm.

I'm going to type it up ASAP, but back-tagging and slow-tagging are totally welcome. Any kid that wants to go around is welcome to tag along. Any adult that wants to set up a door to have kids drop by and get candy? TOTALLY WELCOME.

There will also be a thread for just hanging out at the Lux until the EARLY EARLY hours of the morning. Costumes welcome. Candy Provided.

I'm sorry for the late-last minute planning, but I had a crazy weekend and work has been a pain in my ass. :/

Hiatus

Hey guys!

So, instead of going to class tonight, I ditched...which means some of you will have some crazy-late tags coming until I have to sleep tonight. Sorry they're so late. ;;

As of tomorrow, however, I will be hiatusing for the month of November. I am participating in National Novel Writing Month this year, but the full month is because I also have a twenty page Lit research paper due after Thanksgiving. And grading. And a second job and...yeah... it's going to be a bit intense.

Jilly will be going straight from one loss to another. Starting at midnight tonight, she will be a Raggedy Anne doll (complete with black yarn hair and specks of paint). CR is free to pass her around if they would? But I'm assuming she'll spend most of her time in her and Willow's room.

Kaylee will be going on her first-ever loss (poor thing) as a little, toy robot. She will have coveralls with a "Kaylee" nametag. And a bow. Just because. If her crew goes looking for her, she'll be in her workshop.

I will slowtag old threads as much as I can, but my chars will be officially out of commission for the next few weeks.

Stay cool, Para. Don't blow up the castle (permanently) while I'm gone.~

Joining that crazy NaNoWriMo crowd again this year, but knowing me, the impending doom of MASSIVE WORDCOUNT won't stop me from getting on here and tagging, so... I'll just try to limit myself in how often I get on here and tag. So saying I should become somewhat slow? Of course, should and will are special... Might go full out hiatus if I fall too far behind wordcount? Who knows.

Just a quick note to say that, starting now, I'm taking the first week of November off! I really need a break anyway, and it lines up perfectly with NaNo starting, so... it all works out. Right now, I'm only planning on taking a week, but I might do two if I'm still struggling. We'll see.

All my guys are going to be stuck as animals for that time, I think. Faye will be a cat, mostly hiding in Crowley's room with the other animals to avoid the notice of the populace at large and shedding on his good suits. Zuko will be a messenger hawk, but will be locked in a big birdcage in his room... so, he'll need some kind souls to feed him l-lol. Annnnnd I'm going to go ahead and say that Billy and Legato are dogs in their kennels. So there's that.

I'll try to still be slow(er)-tagging the things that are in my inbox though, whenever I need a break from writing and such, and I'll still be around on plurk and aim if anyone needs or wants to reach me.

Adding to the already monstrous pile of hiatuses - I am going to be making myself scarce for the rest of the semester. I will be on a full hiatus from the 6th to the 16th, and again from the 23rd on through December 15th (though that might get extended if I can pull a vacation together), and the rest of the time my tags will be coming pretty slowly. Pushing so hard through school this semester has completely burned me out, as those of you currently in threads with me have probably noticed, and that trend will unfortunately be sticking around until finals are over. RP is going to have to take a back seat, so just bear with me for awhile. :)

Okay, guys. I feel like all I do is apologize lately for my crappy activity, and I really mean it. I do. Last time I posted here, at the beginning of the month, I said I was really going to try and get back into the swing of things, and I really was going to. But then followed what has pretty much been the worst month of my life. I've got financial stresses, work stress, illness in the family, other major family woes, had a massive wangsty drama-filled fallout with a friend, and had another friend pass away unexpectedly. I'm really glad this is the last day of the month because hopefully it means nothing else will happen; I'm basically one more bad thing happening away from having a total and complete nervous breakdown.

But. I know all of this has been affecting my activity, and that my activity was slumping badly before that. I've been giving some thought to leaving the game because it isn't fair to my CR and to everyone else here. While I really don't want to do that, I also don't want to hold on just out of nostalgia or whatever. So, this is me giving myself a last chance I guess. If I can't buck up and give the game the attention it deserves this time around, I'll give serious though to throwing in the towel.

Just thought I'd let everyone know. :/
