I... probably should've mentioned this earlier, but I thought I'd be more on top of stuff than I actually was...

Replies to tags have been slow recently... and I apologize deeply for that. It's annoying, I know. It's because I was in a plaaaaaaay! No, really. I was Bianca in Othello last weekend, and I will now never be free of the jokes about how I'm a prostitute.

The reason I bring this up now, after the weekend is over? It's because I'm in another plaaaaaaaaay! ...No, I'm still serious. I'm doing tech for a production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which goes up this coming weekend. It'll be awesome, but it's also very time consuming.

And for two weeks after that? I'll be in another plaaaaaaaaaay! I'm actually still serious. I'll then be doing tech for a production of Dog Sees God... but I'll get school credit for this one, which is pretty sweet.

What I'm basically trying to say here? I've been more busy than usual this past week. I'm going to keep being that level of busy for the next few weeks as well. I'm still going to be here, responding to tags... but I just thought you should all be aware that these responses might take a day or two, and I'm sorry about that.

Um...hi there! I'm J and I play Guy of Gisborne from BBC Robin Hood. I think I forgot to intro him over here all those months ago (I'm very scatterbrained and a bit shy, to be honest. Heh. Sorry about that.) He comes from the very end of the series - after he's become one of the good guys - and he's still healing up from his stab wounds and stuff...

Anyway, Guy will be starting on his first loss tomorrow morning (meant to start yesterday, but thanks to the DDoS attacks, I've had trouble accessing LJ. :() For about a week, he will have to endure life as the animal on his coat of arms: a wolf. So, if you happen to see a black wolf with gray eyes running around the castle for the next week or so, don't panic! He's tame and probably housebroken. Probably. *wink wink* :D

I've successfully (well, not without extreme car troubles) moved and gotten internet so hiatus is over, but as I am so incredibly exhausted and we're still nowhere near done unpacking, I'm declaring slowatus while I finish up, sleep, and do my damnedest to catch up on tags. I don't think it should last longer than the weekend since family is helping us.

So while I'm doing this, I'm extending Alleyne's loss through Sunday to keep my mind happy while I work. It's good to be back; I missed you all!

On Intro Posts

We have had a lot of complaints about intro posts getting ignored/overlooked.

To better illuminate the problem, we decided to look at who comments on a sample pool of 40 entries spanning from March 9th to April 4th (4pm), and we discovered the following:

• Only 163 of our 330+ characters participated on the introduction posts. That's just under 50%.
• 89 of those 163 only participated in only ONE introduction post in a period of 27 days.
• These 163 characters appeared 312 times –– 114 of which were for castmates*, 198 of which were for non-castmates.
• 43 characters tagged castmates only.
• 8 of the 40 posts were by characters with no existing castmates in the game; they respectively got 1, 1, 1, 5, 6, 7, 18, and 18 characters commenting. One of those "ones" has already dropped.
• Conversely, 8 of the 40 posts from characters with existing casts got either 0 or only 1 non-castmate tagging. Five of those are new players.

Overall, this means we've got a mere 25% of the game's characters doing the bulk of the introductions, if you count "bulk" as "two posts or more."

There has been talk of "I just don't have time to tag something new", but consider this: if every character added just one more intro to their tags, there would be another 330+ tags divided amongst all the new entries every month. When you split that work by all 150+ muns, it really isn't that big of a change for the individual, but it'd make a big difference for everyone new.

We aren't ranking people or ordering people by number of posts they participate in, because this isn't a contest. There is no prize for having more, no punishment for having less. We aren't going to chase after any individual, because what really matters is our effort as a group. We just want everyone to look at how many intros they post on and consider their own participation in welcoming new characters to the game. That's all we ask -- consideration.


* Marvel Universe, DC Universe and Doctor Who Universes were respectively conglomerated to count castmates. (Ie, Marvel movies and Marvel comics lumped together. )

Okay, so... I've been a fail!mun for a good couple months now (since January?) because of all the insanity involved in stupidly agreeing to start a new business with my family and a trainer from Chicago. There was the insane commute (5 hours round trip yeeeah) and then piles of fallout for various reasons between my family and this trainer, and... yeah. It has been hell, but was supposed to pan out to be awesome if it worked out.

Well, guess what-- It didn't work out!

So, bad news is that I'm out of a job, lost A LOT of money, and the stress of the past few months has left big wounds on my brain. ...Good news is that I'll have more free time now? lololol...

Anyway, it's going to take me a little bit to feel like I'm not going to absolutely lose my mind at any moment, and deal with tying up loose ends with this dead business, so... I need a hiatus. I'll also still be dropping Cube and Sakaki when I come back, because I still need less on my plate.

I'll be catching up on and finishing current threads, and hitting up castmates and close cr when needed, but other than that... see you all in a week or something~

Okay, so... I am also going on hiatus from this Friday until Sunday evening, due to having to go back to York for a funeral. If you need me during this time, shoot me a PM to any of my accounts, and I'll get back to you when I get home.

When I get home, or rather from Monday next week, Integra will be going on a loss as her itty-bitty child self. In order to help make this a bit more social, I am looking for lots of volunteers to have a child wake up in their room and generally garner some more CR! As of this post, which I believe is slightly backdated to last night, there was a HUGE power surge out near Riful's manor. Death popped out to say hi and purposely made his presence noticeable to strike fear into the hearts of man attempt frightening Riful, and then Riful awakened shortly after.

Feel free to go nuts with this! Riful should be noticeable to anyone who has been able to sense her awakening in the past, and Pharos's power surge was probably at least somewhat noticeable to just about anyone with the ability to sense much of anything. It should be said that unless your character has been able to sense Pharos in the past in some way, they will probably not recognize it as having been him, however.
