It's time for another round of Game Discussion, also known as

HOW'S THE GAME?

Here we come together to discuss the game, its plots, the settings, and just about anything we can think of that we'd like to talk about, expand upon, improve, change, etc.

This is not an HMD for players and their characters; this should be about the game's function as a whole and not the people in it. If there is something you feel is absolutely necessary to address that involves a specific person, please IM a mod first to discuss it. We can be reached at valawie (Valerie), fan of todd (TF), or never die ftw (Ashley).

Anonymous will be left off for this round. Sock journals are allowed, but you will have to request comm access to post with them.

POST-DREAMWIDTH MOVE FEEDBACK

It's been two months since the game moved off of Livejournal and onto Dreamwidth. How do you feel about the move now that most of the dust has settled? We'd love to hear how everyone is feeling about or handling transition.

For those of us that were still back-tagging scenes through the pre-move in the old LJ comm, are we still able to go into Paradisalost and tag those until they are completed? Or is the comm locked to comments?

I've yet to do the final import of all comments, so right now there's not a way to access the progress you might have made in any logs/threads until the import is complete. I'm still waiting to hear back on an issue regarding the last import, and sadly there's no ETA for when someone will get back to me on that.

In the meantime, if you'd like to set up something where you can continue the threads until the import is finalized, that's totally fine. Once the import is complete, I'll make an announcement and I wouldn't have a problem with some additional tagging into paradisalost. We tried to give everyone ample time to wrap up threads, but I realize real life can get in the way with that sometimes. :B

I have no problem waiting until the final import and all the issues are cleared up and just picking them up again. I think most of the scenes aren't vital for plot advancement, but they are important on a character level -- so I don't mind waiting to finish them up at all. I just wanted to know if it would be an option or not.

I'm feeling better about the transition now that everything has settled although I felt like I really had to drop everything and just start from scratch just so I didn't have double the tags with LJ-tags and DW-tags to get through. But I'm sure others were probably more organized than me!

I think the move was a big one and all things considered, I think it went pretty well.

I would just like to say that I'm really happy to not be on LJ anymore... :')

Will ParadisaBeyond and the old logs comm be imported somewhere, too?

Yep! Everything will be imported into paradisalost once I get a response from support about the double imported comments and how future imports will be affected.

I seem to recall, in amongst the information given about Dreamwidth, that we would have plenty of icon space over here. So I was really disheartened to find I only got 15, as I can't afford paid accounts anymore. ;_; Stupid thing to bawwww over, I know, but... yeah.
