Hey Paradisians!

Batty here bringing in a new character! The ever lovely, ever deadly Natasha Romanoff better known as Marvel’s Black Widow! The is the MCU version of the character coming from after the events of The Avengers film. The character is somewhat flavored with Marvel Comics to fill in the history gaps MCU hasn’t done yet.

Her loss is one that is devastating to her, but will seem mild to others. She’s lost all memory of why Bruce “The Hulk” Banner terrifies her. For a calm, strong and in control woman to not know why the very mention or memory of the man will have her in a cold sweat, the fear will be intensified to near if not total incapacitation.

So happy to have her aboard! Feel free to hit me up for plotting! As always AIM at singularlygifted, plurk at msbatty

Hey Batty! I'm Rose and I play Steve Rogers from MCU and Elektra Natchios from Daredevil/Elektra movies so basically I'm hogging up the Marvel section.

Welcome to the cast! If you don't mind me asking, how comics flavored is she? So far things for Natasha has been really different than her 616 counterpart so I'm curious what you took out of it.

I actually have some concerns about this. While minor embellishments are passable, the staff prefers that players adhere to one canon, especially when that canon is liable to change, in the interest of avoiding retcons. There are a good number of movies yet to come out for the MCU, and Winter Soldier in particular is liable to change canon for the characters.

In the MCU, Bucky is currently dead, and to our knowledge there is no indication that Black Widow was a part of genetic and mental tampering. Could you please point out any evidence that these things are plausible/present in the MCU?

I think that would be for the best. I understand the temptation to incorporate alternate canon just to flesh out the character a bit more –– I played Clark Kent for four years, haha –– but ultimately it would just bite you in the butt in the end. It's easier to paint on a blank slate when you get more canon direction than paint over old stuff, you know?

I'm curious to see what Winter Soldier does... obviously it's going to be Bucky-heavy, but given that Widow is a cameo and doesn't seem to have a bigger role, I have to wonder if they're putting her in it to give a nod to the comics or something. I really hope she gets more development, but then again, I think I'd also rather see that in her own movie.

And that said, my boy Ezio has a thing for fierce redheads, so Nat can expect to have an Italian fellow nosing around her eventually, haha.

It's definitely not easy, but it's very fun, haha.

The MCU also needs more women characters, honestly. I'd give a lot to see Natasha get a more front-and-center role.

And oh god, he's determined, but he's also used to getting what he wants (ie he tends to like easy women because he is easy himself.) He is also a little bit naïve when it comes to women, haha, he's too eager to please and a bit of a sucker. BUT ALL THAT SAID... he is also an assassin and a very talented one at that, so he's not a complete loser.
