Wakey wakey...

After a seemingly endless weekend, the toxin is now beginning to fade away from the castle, taking its effects with it. Characters may begin waking up at any time.

How did they sleep? Some might have had a worse nap than others. Though they are free of any physical wounds they acquired in dream land, they will remember everything that took place in any dream they entered.

To make matters worse, it looks like the castle had some visitors while everyone was out. The castle has been raided, with quite a few things knocked over or trampled on. Strangely enough, it doesn't seem like their intent was to vandalize.

Every last drop of alcohol is missing. From the tiniest of flasks to the largest of kegs, it's all gone. On an even odder note, every single candle in the castle is gone--even the scented kind.

Feel free to say that you are missing a few other odds and ends. Hairbrushes, shaving cream, coffee mugs... The thieves thought they were being rather clever in taking a few "treasures" with them. Looks like beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

Who could have done this? Looks like you'll have to find out from those that were investigating in town! There's still time to jump in and try to figure out what's going on, and bring some information back to the waking residents. They'll definitely want some answers.

The one time everyone could use a drink, too. If only we had a way to instantly wish up more....

I have a question! The transportalizer to the west outpost is in Aradia's (otherwise lightly used) room currently, and not very well secured beyond the normal lock on her door. So would any of the kobolds have been through the outpost (in either direction) at some point? (Or still be there?)

I have a question, after the last time the rooms got raided what if people increased their security?

It's sort of convenient (and frustrating) that we're stuck with the negative outcome of a castle event after the fact, instead of being given more information about this before it happened. I understand wanting to keep suspense and mystery, but there have to be ways to give us mystery and world plot, without making the residents out to be fools. Given that when they had the castle raided before, I would think that some residents would've taken precautions for this.

I think I'm just disappointed that it's turned into another instance of the residents being 'asleep at the wheel' so to speak.

I was just speaking in general as for the security. I know that Oliver had security that they prior raid wasn't able to break into, but it just seems difficult for residents to learn from prior mistakes if they are just told after the fact "Oh, by the way we broke in and stole all your stuff."

As for the investigation, I know that I am the one that suggested it and wanted to give the characters a chance to investigate, because I thought it would be interesting to do. I'm actively tagging the character, but it still seems a case of the residents getting screwed over. Especially since we're told that they stole from the castle and our characters seemingly can't stop them, yet they are "simple creatures".

I mean, you're telling me these simple creatures stole all the alcohol from the castle, while people were watching the castle and worried for their friends trapped within it, over a span of a few days. There were two bars and a lot of alcoholics in the castle, that's a lot of booze to steal.

It's also difficult to have my characters telling people what they found out, when I don't even know what they are going to find out. The residents are going to want answers from characters that were actually able to interact with things and other than 'these monkey/rat looking things took stuff to the Dead Zone...' it's just frustrating and I know I'm not the only one that feels this way.
