Masquerade Plot: DAY ONE
Who managed to lock themselves out of their main account because they can't remember their password? This chick. So excuse the character journal while I talk about what's happening today.
THING ONE: The leaves are starting to change colors! The trees around people will quickly be turning from green to traditional fall colors--reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. If anyone decides to go out and frolic (or brood, I can't judge) among said changing trees, they might be able to hear the sound of... giggling...? Little chatter sounds up in the trees. Nothing will show itself, though. They're shy. :'(
THING TWO: Some fairy rings are showing up on the front lawn of the castle. There's just one or two of them in the morning, but you can easily count a dozen on your way out in the evening. Since they're just mushrooms, you could step on them or kick them if you wanted... but why would you? That's so mean. :'<
THING THREE: Everyone will receive an invitation to the masquerade ball. It's written on a piece of parchment and left somewhere for your character to find. This could be under their pillow, rolled up in a sock, tacked to their front door--anywhere your character is likely to look today, they can find it. If your character is living in the Dead Zone, they'll still get the invitations... but boy. Can you imagine the kind of ninja fairies they must have sent out to get those to you? Jeez.
They are written in a very fancy hand, in gorgeous orange ink that shimmers a little when you hold it up to the light. They are nothing if not showoffs.
And that's all! No signature... and even stranger, no location. What's up with that?
Questions or comments? Leave them here (or come poke me). :')

On behalf of his Royal Majesty, the gracious King of Autumn, all creatures in the realm of Paradisa are invited to attend the royal masquerade ball to celebrate the shifting of seasons. It is there that his Royal Majesty will inherit the responsibilities of this realm and assume the duties of the kingdom, bestowed upon him him by the Summer King.
This joyous event will be held three days from now, upon the rising of the Autumn moon. All guests are encouraged to dress accordingly for such an event, but know that no persons shall be permitted without a mask.
