job fair

So I just brought this up in plurk, but I wanted to get everyone's input on this since I know there are a lot of resident owned businesses that are severely lacking in staffing.

I want to have an IC Job Fair where everyone with a business can post up a little blurb about their business and try to lure residents into working for them. The great part about this is that it can give all the resident owned businesses a form to fill out that will give everyone the same information, so that when we start making our entries for World Building, people will already have information done!

We could also put up comments for some of the NPC run businesses if you have characters that work there. So, I'm here to see how interested people are in doing this. I want to do it in August, so I also want opinions on when this should happen.

August seems pretty open, right now, so I think I can go with either the weekend of the 11th or the weekend of the 25th. Post would go up on Friday and backtagging would always be welcome. If it's a success, we can try to make it a repeat event every few months just to get new CR and new employees.

I like on both the OOC and IC level. Gunn was just asking about jobs and Quinn'll want to get in somewhere but without the info about where you can work being ICly available (unless you put on a journal post) then you can be a bit stuck? :3

People do ask about jobs fairly often on the journal, so I think this is a good idea. I'd vote for the 11th as I think the expedition is going to be taking place over the 25th?

It's still tentative, I haven't heard anything official, but that was the last date range I heard (after the carnival but before the masquerade).

I think this is an awesome idea! Harry has gotten a bit restless with being inactive all the time. It could also mean that I got more to play with and more CR.
