Hi ho, everyone, Ang here. I have... dun dun dun... a really gross virus. It's that fake Windows 7 antivirus Trojan that's going around that marauds as a Service Pack update, and I can't even open a browser on it until it's fixed. Luckily I have Monday off to fix it after New Year's shenanigans .... so I hope not to be out of commission long. This is just a heads up, so that everyone knows to be leery of their windows updates in case it's this nasty bugger. Wish me luck in cleaning it up, and hopefully I'll be back in time for Mark to do his thing!
(In the meantime, this affects Barney, Five, Mark, Ray, and Kermit.)

Search for what the virus is called and it will give step-by-step instructions for removal. It's worked every time for me.
Good luck! :(

But that site has helped me many times! The only problem is you'll need a second computer and a thumb drive to fix it. If you can get to one, then it shouldn't be too bad.

A friend recommended Avast as a free antivirus program when I was trying to fix my computer way back when and now I am able to use my computer :) I had to download it on a different computer, transfer it to my computer via flash drive and install it in safe mode. Maybe that'll be chicken soup for your computer.

Virus is gone now, but I have fifty million billion tags to slog through...
