HOW'S THE GAME?

It's been awhile! It's time for another round of Game Discussion, also known as "How's The Game?"

Here we come together to discuss the game, its plots, the settings, and just about anything we can think of that we'd like to talk about, expand upon, improve, change, etc.

This is not an HMD for players and their characters; this should be about the game's function as a whole and not the people in it. If there is something you feel is absolutely necessary to address that involves a specific person, please IM a mod first to discuss it. We can be reached at terraqueous orb (Kayla), end title (Fudgey) or a great fanfare (Jenn). (Though Jenn is on hiatus right now because her laptop is broken, so Kayla or Fudgey would be best for right now!)

Anonymous will be left off for this round (see first section).

Here are the sections that we've come up with. Add your own and we'll edit it into the list.

Anonymous: Why is it turned off?
What do the mods/helpers do, anyways?
How is my activity being monitored?
Activity check changes
Applications/turnover rate
 → Test Drive Comm
Abilities on the application
Villains & Heroes
 → Recent Villain Activity
 → Upcoming Villain Activities/Plots
Death
World Plot/Paradisa Lore
 → Concrete Resolutions, etc.
Canon Updates
Mini-plot Planning
Changes since last HTG
Plots in General
Regular Plots?

How's The Game will now be held quarterly, in order to avoid excessively long stretches in which there is no outlet for discussion.

Yeah I wouldn't worry TOO-too much about old stuff :) since this would be castle changing, etc so you wouldn't have to retcon any of that! When more mods/helpers get on I'll redirect them to this right away :D

Oh, I thought of something else - is there going to be anything preventing people from, uh, looting corpses?

...so in other words, if we get killed by a villain, all our stuff is up for grabs.

....so....but then if Riful eats them, how do they come back alive?

[identity profile] orz-woeisme.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Technically she only eats their...innards but yes--

After the 2 weeks, the body vanishes from wherever they died, and they are transported back to their room back in one piece (like how original death worked). So they wouldn't come back to life missing their stomach, or wherever she killed them; they'd be back exactly how they were before being killed + extra perma!loss.

Oh, okay, good. Because going through life without any guts is a hell of a scar to carry.

....has anyone covered how death works in the Dead Zone or is it still a mystery?

[identity profile] orz-woeisme.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that Death in the Dead Zone = permanent death in Paradisa (but don't quote me on that).

There was one instance where this happened back during the Spider Plot, where Kanda Yuu was killed fighting the Spider Queen--however once defeated, they carried his body back within the limits of the powered zone, and thanks to that his regenerative abilities kicked in and he was able to revive/recover (since he technically couldn't die).

Other than that though I'm not 100% sure! I'll get Kayla/Fuget to clarify shortly :)

Okay, that's what I was thinking too (and Kanda was the only one I could remember who'd died out there). Or if it's not permanent, basically, no one's proved that it's not.

Precisely :)!

Re: death in dead zone

I can't find link on iPod but Reno B alluded to death being perm out thereby they have no confirmation in practice yet!

It is perm out there, characters just don't have confirmation yet

Sorry if this is mildly incoherent, iPod is being wonky.
