So, um. I have something embarassing to admit!

I didn't think I was being affected by the LJ notifs fail. I thought that other e-mail providers were having trouble, but that AIM mail was working just fine... I have since learned that I was very, very wrong.

So I just want to put it out there... are there any tags that I had with you that I dropped? I'm going to go back and look for as many of them as I can, but... in case I miss one, did I have a thread with you that I dropped? Just leave a comment here or something and I can go find it. And I'm really sorry I messed up this bad. DX

...And I'm seriously going to kill LJ notifs.

Such a pain in the butt trying to keep up with so many threads. But people have been cool about slow tags, so.

Exactly! I mean, I thought people were just being slow in getting back to me... but then I went, like, three days without getting anything, and... that just doesn't happen here. So I went and looked. Turns out, I went poof on a whole bunch of stuff. DX

I hardly had any problems at all last month, when it was such a huge deal. But now I haven't had any for about a week. So I'm in the same boat as you. I didn't realize there was a problem for like four days.

I think we might have had a thread sometime last week, but it wasn't that important so don't worry about it. Like, I can't even remember what it was about or what post it was in.

Yeah, exactly. Like, I was so confused when people first started getting upset- I had no idea what was going on. And then BAM. No notifs at all. DX

And alright, cool. It's too bad that we have to drop it, but at least it wasn't anything major, so we'll just keep going from here~

Yep, same here! I was doing just fine until my email provider was suddenly hit about a week ago and I didn't notice for days.

I've rerouted my notifs through gmail though, and now I'm getting them just fine. It's definitely my suggested course of action, since you don't have to touch your gmail account after you make it-- it just sits in its dark little corner, sending notifs to your 'real' email address.

Through gmail? I've just had them sent to my LJ inbox, and that's been working just fine for me for the past few days, but gmail might be worth checking out too... I miss being able to check my e-mail on my phone and see responses from Paradisa!

Yeah. I hate using lj inbox, so I opted for the gmail route.

You just open a gmail account, and then go into settings and tell it to forward a copy of everything to your real email. Then just put in that gmail address into all your lj-accounts. So, lj sends notifs to gmail (which is like the only provider that still works) and gmail sends them to your real address.

If that makes sense. it';s too late at night to try and explain things. x_x

Wait, can you tell me how to do this? I can't find settings (I just signed up to gmail like five minutes ago because this lack of notifs is driving me insane). This is not very user friendly lookinggg. Or I am just that incompetent. Both of these make sense. DX

lmfao, I couldn't find it either. I think it's the little gear up in the right corner? Then there's a Forwarding and POP something tab, and you add a forwarding address in there, and tell gmail to forward copies of everything to that address.

Then you go through all your lj accounts and change the notif address to your gmail one.
