day three thursday, march 3rd They call it the snowball effect. One day, you're living out your lovely little life in a luxurious castle, and then something happens. A tree appears. Then more happens. Kids vanish. People start looking for clues and it starts piling up, getting bigger and gaining momentum, until everyone knows something big is right around the corner, and oh god, do they even want to know what? Of course they do, when their children are going missing. Things get a little gnarly: seven more kids go today. The red blood-stains on the tree starts to climb up the dead trunk like some sort of sick thermometer. The tree itself is being watched, too -- that doesn't stop more livestock from appearing, hanging right before their eyes. Remaining children see things out of the corners of their eyes: long spindly black things, like a very tall, narrow-limbed spider walking in one’s peripheral vision. But we're halfway there...

information-finding ● evidence for thursday, march 3rd Things are coming together. If you look at the !slenderman tag, all the research posts, theoretical posts, kidnappings and evidence posts should pop up nicely. So here's the deal for today, mostly the same as yesterday: I need researchers to be pushing for people to do research and organizing research groups. I need protective types to be finding out who the rest of the kids in the castle are, making sure they're supervised, etc. I need supernatural hunters to be putting their heads together on what takes children. I will be emailing psychics later today; they will be making contact on friday/saturday

Totally just on a whim, but I was wondering if this was all right--since it looks like a couple other pieces of evidence will mention the evil being called "Slenderman", could Zelman hear that, go, "WAIT... I'VE READ THIS BEFORE." and then dig through his massive pile of stolen borrowed books to find the old diary he'd earlier thought of as kind of boring and inconsequential?

Won't work if all the evidence is just now appearing or... didn't exist previously, of course.
