SHORT LOSS
So once upon a time, there was an American gal who decided she could play a British character. Not only that, but learn how to write an accent in a way that makes it sound like it wasn't an American failing to write a British accent. This...turned out to be a much larger task than the American gal expected! Luckily the young American gal managed to get the help of the British muns, who have been incredibly patient with my lack of cultural understanding or grasp on their language (not once did they hit me when I would accidentally type up "I could care less"!).
However there is nothing free in this world, and my price has come in a form of a loss. Since the closest estimate to Allen's origin is Northern England while he normally speaks with a practiced polite standard British accent? For the next day or two, Allen will be stuck with a Yorkshire accent. Meaning whenever he speaks, he'll have a very thick Yorkshire accent. If he writes, he'll be able to write in normal English just so...we have some chance to understand him.
We went with Yorkshire since that is where Ena is from and we're gonna go with modern slang just so there is some hope of translation. Ya, you can guess who demanded this.
Just to give you an idea what the accent sounds like:
I'm off t'beck t'eat sarnies and drink a cuppa tea. It's bleedin' maggots but thar's neither nowt ner summat.
...Yeah.
AND IF YOU GUYS WANT TO JOIN IN, HERE IS A GUIDE WRITTEN BY ENA.

Look on the bright side, Allen, you could've had to speak like this:

We were actually talking about this earlier in the house (there's three of us from Yorkshire) and one (who was being mocked) pointed out that not all Yorkshire people speak like that :P
*is random*
*goes back to shuddering*

YA I know that not everyone from Yorkshire speaks like this, I actually come from a place that is know for it's weird accent (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yByv7a2KyyU) but I don't really speak like that. So I know all too well that a person might not actually have a stereotypical accent! I swear I mean no offense?! It's more of an affectionate parody since Ena will frequently try to get me to say yorkshire-unique stuff on skype, that's all.

My housemate from Leeds does really uite speak like that haha, that's why she gets mocked a little but me? Naaah. (I never started saying Aye (and only in my head - never aloud) til I came to where I am now :P)
S'all good tho. (And I do sometimes to the t' thing but... not often :D)
