Bachlorette Auction - Update!
First off, I have to apologize for the lateness of this going up. I said it would go up on Monday, but the past few days I've just been drained to the point of borderline non-functioning. So ,the 10th is the new 8th.
First order of business! The date of the Auction In-Game will be on Saturday November 27th. This means your characters have about two weeks to prepare themselves for the event.
For those of you who are joining us for the first time, I'll be providing a super quick outline as to how the order of this will work, both OOCly and ICly.
OOCly:
1) The poll has happened and a date has been chosen. November 27th (the post itself will go up on Friday Evening around 5PM CST)
2) OOCly you will volunteer the characters you would like to see get signed up for the event. Use this post for that purpose.
3) People, usually CRmates, will volunteer to sign up your character.
4) If no one volunteers and you REALLY want them to be in it, but they wouldn't sign themselves up - you can always say they were signed up "Anonymously".
5) The next OOC post that I put up will be sometime during the weekend of the 20th. This will be where you will be stating who has been signed up, what time their auction will be starting and ending. This will also be a good time for you to plan out any "pre-purchase" information. If you want a specific character to win your auction, plan it out in the post next weekend. If you're up for anything, don't worry about it. This will be just to give others an idea of when to expect your comment to pop-up in the auction. There will be a form on that post to use, so that it's easier.
6) The IC information card for the bachelorettes that are up for auction will be filled out PRIOR to the auction date. Please, make sure that you have passed the info card on to the other person well enough in advance. We don't want someone not able to post up their auction because they are waiting on a card.
7) The auction post format will be the same as it has been in the prior auctions that I ran. People will have their "booths" and they will post up their own auction and be in charge of their own CR within that section. New for 2010! Booth Seating Chart! I will be trying to make a "seating chart" of sorts, so that bachelorettes have the option of talking to the girls on either side of her booth or behind them.
8) People will comment to the bidding post, or they will comment to the girl being auctioned off, or they will comment to whoever is bidding against them. The comment format structure might be changed slightly, from the last one I ran, just to avoid having to comment in two places if you are bidding/talking.
9) Once your end-time has been reached you'll close your auction and contact the winner! I will also have a "winner" comment, so that I can keep better track of the winners this time. I am still wanting to go in and edit that wiki page from last years. I will probably do it this weekend.
10) Go on the Date!!

1) Get signed up for the auction - or - Sign up a friend for the auction!
2) If you've signed someone up (or signed yourself up) let Harmony know! (there will be a sign-up post this weekend that she'll be writing)
3) If you've signed someone up (or signed yourself up) fill out your info-card and give it to Harmony! (this part is implied as the cards are always just "there" when the auction starts)
4) Attend the event! If your character wouldn't normally go to it, make sure friends drag them there - or have the castle ghosts tinker with things until they have to go! (Those ghosts just want to help!)
5) Be bid on! Do some bidding! Win some dates! Meet some people!!
6) Have fun!!

Your IC Character Card: Just like prior years, Harmony has developed the "PERFECT" card to get to know the bachelorette that is up for sale, with very little information that's important. These are to be filled out ICly by the character that is signing your character up. Remember these cards are created with the intention of the bachelorette filling it out herself, so the questions are worded that way.
The OOC portion of this form will be filled out and added to this form later.
If anyone has questions or comments, please let me know on the comment below - since I'll be turning off notifs for the "sign me up" aspect.
