Deep in Insolitus is a place called the Lost Room.
For a long time, it went unnoticed, lost to the thousands of twists and turns and stairs and ladders and slides of Insolitus. Then, after days of exploring, one group just so happened to discover its door, unlocked.
This changed everything, locking the room in place, no longer lost to its depths.
The room is an ordinary Paradisa room, just like any other empty room. The sole difference is that there are items scattered about the room. There is no indication of who owns the items, and the room is immaculate and spotless.
Tonight*, the group who discovered it will be inviting the rest of the castle to come see it, leaving its contents open for the taking.
What new chaos will this bring?
The complete inventory of the room can be found here: The Lost Room @ Wikia.
CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED / FILLED OUT WITH ITEM DESCRIPTIONS. Please bear with us ♥
* assuming things go according to schedule :>
Discoveries

The items are special. While it may not seem obvious at first, it’ll be made clear with time.
If a resident tries to take more than one item out of the room, they will be incapable of passing through the door until they have only one of the items.
Once they have chosen an item, it is theirs. The items cannot be sold, traded or given away. They cannot be abandoned, left behind, or lost. Should a resident not keep the item on their person, it may be kept in their room, but if left anywhere else, it will return to their rooms, or to their person. The only way of shaking it off is to return it to the room and abandon it there.
All of the items, while outside of the Room, are indestructible. They can only be destroyed while in the Room.
The items each have their own strange power. Residents will have to figure it out on their own, what their item can do, but some may be more obvious than others. Some will be immediately apparent, while others may take days, or weeks, or even months. Some may never be found out! It's a really fun grab bag.
As for the powers... they range anywhere from absolutely useless, to amusing, to helpful, and even to deadly.
But beware: the castle is fickle. Who can say how long the items will be around? Are there any consequences to having one? What if the castle’s meekest resident holds a tool that can kill effortlessly, while its greatest supervillain holds a worthless trinket?
Only time will tell.
How It Works
t h e l o s t r o o m
We'll be starting "claims" tomorrow at 7 pm E.S.T.
We’ve listed the items on the Wiki, linked above. If you're going to plan what items your character might want, please pick back-up choices, in case someone else beats you to the punch requesting it. Additionally, if you have a half-dozen characters, please pick only one or two to take items, so everyone can get something. We suggest having them select whatever would appeal to them most, on instinct, assuming that item is still available.
Logically, not all characters will be cool with the idea of taking things from an ominous "Lost Room" –– it's Paradisa. Who knows what kind of trap it could be?
Because we don’t want to list items and their powers and have people immediately pick based on whatever power they want, as opposed to item, we’re keeping the items’ powers to ourselves, for now. When you’ve chosen, we will PM your character’s account with the item’s abilities. Hard mode: try to keep characters’ items’ powers a secret. There's a bit of excitement in muns being surprised WITH the characters about what items have what powers, when they're finally revealed in-game.
We’re using the honour system here, too. We won’t tell you how long you have to wait until your character figures it out, but approach it rationally: how often would a character, say, place their random item under a banana, only to discover it allows one to levitate? Dumb luck can kick in, certainly, but if it’s a crazy power, have your character hang onto it for a while –– maybe it’ll be something to do on a rainy day, somewhere down the line.

As some of you have noticed, Persona cast has been forward-threading their characters’ exploration of Insolitus for a few days now, so that it’d be done in time for this to start.
Now that they’ve found the room, they’ll be informing the rest of the rest of the castle. Naturally, you can imagine where things will go from there.

Only asking because it seems like a few characters are gonna be going to check out Insolitus today, and wondering if that means they would have to be there for a whole day, or if they're just capable of going back tomorrow.

I won't really be around until the evening because of work, but swiping is Spike's specialty if I can get him over there... we'll see. :'
