So i herd ppl have been disappearin?

More than likely your character has! To date, here's who's been kidnapped:

Thursday: Crowley // No recording
Friday: Deadpool
Saturday: Elektra Natachios
Sunday: Julian Keller
Monday: Teresa -- that's right, Teresa just got nabbed too

--and there was a pretty big commotion here. Riful's room on the 13th floor has been completely demolished, leaving a large hole in the side of the castle.

If you've been following certain plot posts you should see now what sort of situation the kidnap victims are in! Especially after their haphazard S.O.S. And there's even been a 6th confirmed victim at this point--a dead body's been found in the same room as them.

Now although poor Crowley wasn't able to get out much of anything that might indicate who dunnit, Deadpool, Elektra and Julian were all fortunate enough that something extra was recorded on each of their entries! Riful's giggle and voice have been recorded here, here, and here. Even if it's among the sounds of chaos and all that, if your character tries they should be able to realize that it's the voice of a young girl who can't be more than 14-15ish. Some might even recognize her voice as that of another castle resident. They'd have to do a bit of digging, of course... But maybe a helpful bit from Allen could set things in motion!

But once they figure out who it is, what happens? She's obviously not using her room at the castle (although taking a peek might not be the best thing). So how do they find out where she is...? Riful's been dropping hints about where she'd like to settle down for a while now. Those hints can be found lying around as recorded spoken statements:

(I realize that some of these are openish threads, but for plot's sake we can assume her journal was around somewhere? They're pesky things after all).

There are some of you who already know where she's at since I have a big mouth, but only the kidnapees should know ICly at this point...and even then they probably can't put it on a map. HOWEVER there should either be an IC hint or something of that nature that will point the eager young heroes in the right direction! Helpful hint? You guys might wanna pack some food B)

Also as a small note: please don't just jump the gun and start making posts about "HEY I'VE SUDDENLY DONE AMAZING AMOUNTS OF RESEARCH JUST NOW I KNOW WHO IT IS", even if your character may have done that |D; it'd be nice if you could leave a comment here offering that, or simply follow the instructions at the end of the post. I've been haphazardly arranging a few ooc things around this, so if you would like to post I ask that you follow the instructions laid out here.

The last kidnapping is scheduled to happen Tuesday June 1st, so after then it's GAME ON to try and rescue the hostages (I mean they can leave anytime before that, but ICly they'll be unable to actually DO that until after the last kidnapping on June 1st). It should also give the heroes a good view of where Riful's been zipping off and hiding everyone! There will more than likely be a giant open post for everyone who wants to get in on this put up either Tuesday/Wednesday, depending on IC reactions.

Heroes? Lemme warn you now what you're up against (for those of you unfamiliar with Claymore canon):

A brief size-comparison for you guys~ First image is Riful standing over the treeline of a forest in the mountains, the second is of a comparison to Dauf, her lover. The third id a comparison of Dauf to a normal-sized human, so yeah. SHE'S KIND OF HUGE. And a bit...odd.

If people want Riful's voice analyzed or narrowing down Riful's hideout's location, Yuki can do it really easily as long as Kyon asks. She'd probably give the results over the journal anonymously though, since no one knows she's an alien at this point.

Dick/Batman's obviously a bit of a detective so I could have him go over old entries, particularly of those missing. If they were in the Batcave he'd totally run them through a spectrum for background noise, but alas! no Batcave.

I could have him do a post asking for those with heightened hearing and/or audio equipment, perhaps?

Riza has heightened hearing! If he throws up that post she'd probably be on it.

He's currently having a conversation with Tony Stark (http://community.livejournal.com/paradisa/11287873.html?thread=578540097#t578540097) about the possibility of matching the sounds recorded by Deadpool's, Elektra's, and Julian's journals to past entries made by castle residents, and whether they could find a match if they use the correct parameters, i.e female, teenage, and so on and so forth.

If it is at all possible, it's likely it'll take whatever device they come up with a long time to sort through all the entries. In that likelihood, he'll request the help of others.

The goal of this is to be able to track down and pin-point any entries made by Riful that might lead to some indication of where she's holding the captives.

Riza and Riful haven't met in person, or even spoken to each other, so she wouldn't recognize the voice outside what everyone already knows about it having been recorded at certain kidnappings. Although...if they want someone who has sensitive ears (can hear from long distances and stuff) she'd be a suitable candidate. o/

That could work. Since Yuki is like... computer-y she'd be able to actually analyze voice samples like the computer in the Batcave, not just say "they sound really alike". :3 - And also point out the entries in which Riful gave hints to where she was moving. That wouldn't be a problem for her either.

I'll talk to Kyonmun today and see if they want in on this plot and get back to you later today.

Kyonmun is cool with it o/ if a general request post is made asking for help his loss will probably kick in :3 and what we figure we'll do is have him ask Yuki, she finds the stuff, and gives that info to Kyon who will tell Dick/ Tony/whoever.
