Okay, now that I'm not running out the door in a half-panic, here is the rundown on Stephanie:
She experienced a rather sudden onset of Abscess In Her Breast, which apparently was either triggered or exacerbated by a urinary tract infection she didn't even know she had, and the surgery was to go in and drain that sucker. They're keeping her in the ICU overnight because her blood pressure refuses to climb out of the basement and they can better monitor her there, but other than that she seemed perfectly fine for someone who'd just been sliced in the breasticle and was still wonky from the drugs. I expect she'll be booted out to go home in a day or two.
I told her that I'd asked everyone here to think good thoughts for her and she seemed glad. Thank you for everyone that dropped a note in my earlier post--I really appreciate it and I know she does too. :)
