De-Hiatuses, Drops, and Losses, Oh My!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Hey all, this is Lynsey here coming back from a month long hiatus! And I have some announcements to make!

I've already dropped Gwendolyn (flightof) much to my great reluctance. I actually really enjoyed playing her but it wasn't long after I apped her that my life went to hell, so she never really got the attention she deserved. Right now I'm still sorting a few things out and Adachi needs the attention a lot more now so I ended up just letting her go. I can't guarantee I'll reapp her in the future but there is another character from that canon you might see instead!

So I'm still here with Adabutt. Which brings me to my next announcement.

It's Adachi's birthday today! He's 30 with his castle years and to celebrate, I'm going to do a loss I've wanted to do since I joined.

Here's how Adachi's going to look throughout this loss:

So yup that's everything. I'm going to try to put a lot more effort into getting Adachi involved again, so if anyone wants to do anything with him, during or after the loss please let me know!

For those who do not already know, I dropped Daenerys Targaryen recently. First I want to thank everyone who tagged with her because yes it was fabulous as hell, I love you all and will get more cr with you in different ways I swear.

With her leaving, there are some things she left for certain people! They are as follows.

Zelos gets the equivalent of coal, which is the vest she was trying to make for him that she never finished. It is utterly unwearable and is more like rags than anything, also it has been burnt... a bit. So yeah, ENJOY THAT ZELOS.

Arya gets some of her furs for her to cuddle in and stuff to share with Abby. She even gets the giant white lion cloak that Drogo made Dany, so you better treasure it missy. Treasure it well!

Catelyn receives a letter thanking her for all the kindnesses she had shown her, as well as an apology. It isn't specifically stated what for, but Dany hopes Cat will know what it is for. It will go on to repeat the promise she once made to Arya, that once she returns to Westeros the North will be restored and the Riverlands healed, that all those who died will be remembered and those who lead them to their deaths punished should they still live. With the the letter will be a ornate dagger with both wolf and dragon craved into the hilt.

Elizabeth gets a banner with her family's sigil and words on it. Because you're awesome Liz.

Clementine and Henry both get a book on dragons as well as a book of fluffy happy children stories from Westeros.

Hi, Paradisa! My name is Stella and I am semi-fresh meat. I was here a year or so ago so everything's probably completely different. I'm bringing an entirely different character this time: Ashley Magnus from Syfy's Sanctuary series. She is Helen Magnus' long-lost daughter. Her info is here for anyone interested.

I'm most easily reached via journal pm and I should probably apologize for Ashley's canon point and her loss because I am a terrible, horrible person. Castmates especially, let me know if there's anything I need to keep quiet or have Ashley not mention. I'm always open to plotting and I'm really looking forward to being here!

This is probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

I've been at this game since, god, April of 2008? It's been my little internet niche of a home for a really long time. I've had so many great experiences here, so much great cr with a variety of characters. Certainly not the least of them, being Arthur here. He's been in the game since '09, and it's been a complete blast, even when he wouldn't cooperate.

Unfortunately, my life has been on a decline health wise, and I'm juggling a full time job, health, and school. As much as I would love to be here, I no longer have the time to devote to it.

I wanted to thank absolutely everyone who's ever tagged me, because you've all made my time here very wonderful, and I certainly won't forget it. If you would like to remain in contact with me, you can find me at plurk @ glaciates.

The house Arthur has will very likely go back to Lana. Gwaine's father's sword and shield will go back to him, and....his books, on history of the world, tactics, war fiction, poetry- All goes to Elizabeth and Catelyn respectively. If...you want to steal his clothes, you can? But...basically he had nothing else of value.

Other than pets. He had a rottweiler, a ball python, a ninetails, a mechanical golemn, and a psyduck. If anyone would like them, feel free to take them. They're all going to have intense separation anxiety, I'm sure haha.

I'll be sticking around a little longer, just to finish up some important threads, and then he is bowing out.

I'm so sorry guys, RL has kicked my booty and I need to lighten my load some. As Igraine was my second app, she's going to be returning home to deal with her horrible fate. For those who were on good terms with her, they are receiving a note and perhaps a trinket of sorts.

Merlin Oh, lawd. Can you say mushy? At one point, the note says that she loves him and is honored to meet a man who treated her more than a tool. And that no matter what happens back home, her feelings on the matter will not change her. Tucked in the envelope is the rose her gave her from the Wonderland shenanigans, which she has had dried and preserved so it lasts longer.

Morgana Her note reassures her that she should not give up because there are people here who love her -- herself among them. to make a long story short: mush, mush, muuuush. Don't go to the dark side, baby. Trinket wise, she's getting a pair of beautiful earrings that happen to be a favorite of Igraine's; the gift she got from the castle. And also a little note, asking her to watch over Merlin.

Her friends Will get a note thanking them for the honor of her friendship, but apologizing that she could no longer be in their company.

Kids she adopted Along with the letters, everyone gets a modest bag of assorted sweets. Don't rot your teeth out.
- Arya Gets another fine set of furs (via ghost) and a scribbled not that tells her her ~*super*~ secret recipe for the hot chocolate she liked.
- Will She doesn't know his whole story, but he's not the proud owner of a fine set of chain mail (also delivered a la ghost). Hey, granny thinks ahead!
- Clem The ghosts will be delivering a very pretty dress, something Igraine picked out, that she couldn't not give to the girl.

If things simmer down, she'll come back later. For now, I'm still here with Abby. Thank you, guys. I apologize for the drop, but it had to be done.

Hello Paradisa! I'm completely new here so forgive me nervousness. My name is Adi and I am bringing a bit of your childhood to Paradisa. This is Matilda Wormwood from the film version of Matilda! For those who haven't watched it, Matilda is a little bookworm who reads Charles Dickens at 6 and a half and can do complicated math in her head.

Also she has telekinesis and comes from a bullying family and from a school ruled by a very ruthless headmistress!

4 LOSSES RESULTING FROM STUPIDITY: NEWS AT 10

So once upon a time there were two bored, immature jerkwads who decided they were sick of winter. So sick of winter they started joking around about offering people for embarrassing losses in exchange for spring to come a month early.

Unfortunately, after a great amount of liquor digested turned simply joking around to actually carry out the maybe or maybe not practical joke (it was a lot of liquor, they don't really recall). And so they went and snagged a hermit from a tower (which btw everyone should be impressed they managed to kidnap a guy from a booby-trapped room while hammered) and a king of gnomelettes hobbit to try to persuade the castle to exchange losses for spring.

The Castle, being like haha don't tell me what to do, decided to smack all four of them with losses. And no, spring will not be coming early this year. Clearly they didn't have enough offerings.

So for the next however long we feel like it, Zelos, Ezio, Once-ler and Frodo will all be on losses. The losses are as followed:

Zelos will be reduced to about 3 or 4 inches tall. Because hey, he glows like Tinkerbell anyway. Ezio will regress to the mental age of 17, to prove to everyone that believe it or not, it's completely possible for him to be even more immature. Once-ler will regress down to the age before he ruined his life with his own hands (sorry I just spoiled a 40 year old book). Meaning he will not be hermiting, be optimistic and trying hard to sell his Thneed! He will remember all his CR. And Frodo will be stuck singing everything he says. With Rhyme. Pan must hate herself.

Well, hey guys. It's been fun to be in Paradisa... for what, nearly a year now? But things have been piling up and accumulating and I barely squeaked by last semester without getting kicked out of my theatre program. So I'm taking things into account, and I've been less quick on the tags- but as a result, I found myself losing inspiration more quickly and just feeling plain bad for hogging up character space.

So, in basic words, I'll be dropping both GLaDOS and Genis out of Paradisa. It's been a fun time, really- and I don't want to linger if I'm not active and able to keep up. I don't want to say goodbye to all of you forever, though! I mean, if you'll have me.

I still have my Plurk, weavingmemories, and if I don't already have you, feel free to add me and I'll be sure to accept!

I just also wanted to mention it's been a pleasure threading with all of you, and to stay cool. Maybe I'll be back one day. Who knows?

GLaDOS doesn't have many personal trinkets or anything she'd like to share with anyone in particular, so she'll probably disappear without even a goodbye note. But Genis...

Genis is going to have written letters. Not because he knew he was going soon, but these are meant to be evolving letters- he would modify, scratch things out and add more things. Kind of like a back-up insurance of some sort that everyone could get a sort-of proper goodbye from him.
