The Sorting Ceremony (and other sign-ups)
All right everybody, it's the sign-ups you've all been waiting for: The Sorting Ceremony! Please place your character's name under the appropriate subject heading. Giving their year isn't necessary unless you want it for reference. If you are signing up to be a teacher, please indicate which subject your character will be teaching. Furthermore, if your character is playing Quidditch, let me know what position!
There is the added bonus of signing up to be a prefect. This is available for all students in their fifth year and above. Basically the prefects guide the younger students around and try to help them. You also get special bathroom privileges!
A little bit about Quidditch, for those who don't know: it's a very popular game in the wizard world, played on broomsticks. There are a total of seven players on each team: three Chasers (do the scoring), two Beaters (try to knock the opposing team off their brooms), one Keeper (guarding the goals) and one Seeker (finding the Snitch). The Snitch is the smallest ball in play and the game won't be over until the Snitch is caught. There can be more than seven players, but try to keep a balanced team in mind. Don't everybody try to be a Chaser or Seeker.
Remember that the teaching and staff positions are: History of Magic, Astronomy, Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, Divinations, Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Muggle Studies, Herbology, Broomstick Instructor/Quidditch Referee, School Nurse, Caretaker, Groundskeeper. Defense Against the Dark Arts will not be available for plot purposes. Don't worry if not all teaching positions are filled!
Also, because Ang reminded me, there is also available the chance to be a Head of House. That is one teacher responsible for all the students in a certain House.

Also, Spot will be turning into a book version of the manual. Most of the sections will still be there, but in book form. Dairine will still be able to talk to him the same way you would Tom Riddle's diary (if that's all right).

no I haven't thought extensively about this in the past sshhh, she's still not very good at some of her lessons. Soooo...my question is, would she be able to be a prefect even if her marks aren't the best?no subject
