Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Residents might have taken notice of the gentle snow falling from the sky or the aurora lights that now stretch across it. The temperature is dropping and things are slowly beginning to freeze over at last, including the castle itself!

By Monday the entire process will be complete, because the castle has decided that instead of bringing the residents to another new and frosty location, it will bring that location to them.

Until then the residents can enjoy familiar accommodations that are just a little bit colder than before.

This was already sorted of answered by the plot post today, but I wondering specifically about other areas in the world the characters might go: The Dead Zone, the northern outpost, and Mineas Well. I can imagine the freezing aspect doesn't extend that far, but will it snow elsewhere in the world?

The snow stops a little bit after the border to the Dead Zone. Not very far at all. The closer to the border you get, the less snowy it is. It'll still be cold, though!

Quick question about the ice-ification of the castle/disappearance of the ghosts! Am I right in guessing that the penguins don't do the ~*magical*~ stuff that the ghosts would, and so wishing for the ice to go away/asking for a space heater wouldn't do any good?
