PLOT SIGN-UPS: The Brunch Gang

Play this in the background for full effect.
For a period of eight hours, fifty-four minutes, your character will be locked in detention (on a Saturday!) for breaking some kind of school rule. They're locked in there with other characters, strangers, with whom they have nothing in common -- except each other.
Obviously Paradisa is not a school (most of the time) and your character may or may not be of student age. For the purposes of this plot, characters will be AU'd to be typical American teenagers. Once the plot is over, they will retain all memories of what they learned about each other. This is why it's important that you keep your AU as close to canon as possible.
(ex.: Harry Potter is a wizard in canon with parents who died, and he lives with relatives who don't love him. In this AU, he is just a normal kid with dead parents and relatives who don't love him.)
If your character doesn't have a canon childhood/adolescence, you may use headcanon as long as you're willing to stick with it. In other words, memories for this plot are simply altered from what really happened in their canon to fit the setting, not made up completely.
GUIDELINES:
o1. Humanization is not necessary.
If your character is a cyborg, an elf, or a Hellboy, they may retain their original forms. As long as they're humanoid (ie, have hands and feet), they can stay the same. Weird abnormalities in appearance (pointy ears, metal parts, being Hellboy) should have the same reaction as, say, someone who has an eyepatch or is missing some teeth. It's noticeable, but not wildly unusual or scary.
o2. Pre-existing CR should not be very close.
Unless your character is canonically related to another by blood, they really shouldn't know each other that well. No BFFs, boyfriends/girlfriends, or anything like that. Obviously if they run in the same social circles, they'll know who the other people are, but they shouldn't be that close.
o3. Aging down/up (or staying the same).
Typical American high schools are ages 14-18. 14/15 are freshmen, 15/16 are sophomores, 16/17 are juniors, and 17/18 are seniors. If your character is under 14, age them up to whatever you want. If they're an adult, age them down. If they're teenaged already, keep them there! (You don't have to make new icons or anything, so don't stress out.)
o4. Be ready to backtag!
The "detention" will take place IC between 7:05 AM to 4 PM. Obviously it's hard to tag out an entire day during that space of time, so be prepared to do a lot of backtagging.
o5. Tag around, get new CR, and have fun!
The purpose of this plot is to help in branching out CR by having your character temporarily be an emotional teenager. Characters who are ordinarily very closed-off can open up in ways they ordinarily wouldn't, to people they ordinarily wouldn't speak to. They may learn something new about a stranger, someone they thought they knew, or even themselves.
EXTRA FUN STUFF:
o1. You can choose a reason your character was sent to detention. Either keep it to yourself to be revealed during the plot, or announce it here if you want. Please be reasonable about this and keep in mind that very dangerous or law-breaking offenses would probably result in suspension or expulsion, not detention. (If you can't come up with a reason, your character can always just be cagey about it.)
o2. You can choose a "stereotype" for your character to fulfill. This should be unique to your character to avoid characters knowing each other that well previous to the plot, so if you want to "claim" something, please list it with your character's name. ex.: Lydia Deetz (goth); Bruce Wayne (jock); Mickey Mouse (drama geek); etc.
SIGN-UPS:
This plot is limited to around eight (8) characters, so please make sure you are really interested before you sign up! One character per player.
oo. Mr. Boy (Hellboy): the vice principal
o1. Leela Tahiri (Kalinda Sharma): juvenile delinquent
o2. Arya Stark
o3. John Doe, Jr. (Megamind): the science geek
o4. Eli Gold: the loner
o5. Cross Marian: the jock
o6. Echidna Makarova (Echidna)
o7. Leonardo da Vinci: the weird kid
o8. Tohru Adachi: the overachiever
o9. Phoenix Wright: the artist

HOWEVER, Hellboy is pretty much the worst monitor ever, so if Megamind wanted to lug a bunch of mechanical stuff around in his backpack and then tinker around with it, he is welcome to do so. :)

Can Arya have snuck in tiny (for once) puppy Nymeria?

If she barks or makes a ruckus, she will be confiscated, though. :C
