Now that I've used this flagrant display of hypocrisy to get your attention, WELCOME TO BOOT CAMP YOU MAGGOTS!

Tired of your supreme badass superpowered hero dude losing their ability to do jack all in the Dead Zone? Does your character routinely use poison ivy for toilet paper? Are you so spindly that the mere thought of doing push-ups gives you a hernia? Then you, too, can join in and learn how to survive like a real manly man out in the great wild beyond and impress your friends!

Starting May 11th and going though May 17th, Alleyne will be taking whoever wants to go out into the woods to learn how to survive. There will be camping basics, exercise and combat refinement, survivalist skills, weapons courses, how to manage your resources, coffee at 5 am followed by enough sit ups to make anyone cry, all that fun and lovely stuff the boy scouts never taught you.



Is this a plot? Do I have to go run laps and get sunburned and bug bites?
Yes, it's a plot! But it's entirely opt-in. Dump whoever you want in this, however many of your dudes you want, or none at all! But the more the merrier!

What's this all about?
This is a plot designed to give those that feel their characters could use a crash course in camping or surviving or fighting without magic/superpowers a chance to learn how to do that! Make trips to the Dead Zone that much easier, give your wimpy dude some muscles, or just have someone refine their knowledge and pick up some pointers along the way.

Who can come along?
Anyone and everyone ever, but mostly those that feel they could benefit from this somehow. Even if it's just the benefit of new or strengthened CR.

Is this serious business only?
Oh hell naw, I actively encourage shenanigans to happen. Alleyne might get pissed, but I certainly won't! Make it rough on her.

How will this go down?
On May 10th, Alleyne will announce a 24 hour warning to meet her in the lobby at dawn on the 11th, along with a list of recommended supplies. Those that want to join in can show up then. There will be a post in the logs comm each day with a couple new activities to participate in. Threadjacking/mingling/funtimes encouraged!

How can we trust this stupid old underdressed elf to teach us anything anyways?
Alleyne is a thousand years old and in that time has earned a reputation amongst her kind for being the most frightening and competent warrior they know. She's also lived that long life amongst nature and has no superpowers of her own; everything she knows is of her own accord and skill. She may not look like it but she will give you all a good what for and can surprise most with what she can do and knows. Trust me, she has more than enough credentials for this.

Be warned, though, she is amazingly strict and a legendary hardass. This means she's easy to provoke, for you mischief makers out there. For others, it just means you're going to get someone who cares about her work and wants only the best out of you.

Can I volunteer Jon to help out with the survival training? He spent around a year north of the Wall in Westeros, hunting for food, and otherwise surviving in an incredibly hostile environment for a long period of time. He knows hunting and tracking, as well as survival in an inhospitable place. He's also a fair hand at archery and swordsmanship, as well.

Really, this is just an excuse to get more Elf Lady CR.

While she wouldn't take on help like...officially, she does things on her own, if she sees someone being competent enough she could delegate some of the teaching along and have them help others as she scolds the bigger troublemakers or some such. I don't see the harm in it.

Sounds good to me! Jon will hear the announcement, and decide to come along since it's his sort of thing. When he actually meets Alleyne, he'll just mention his own survival skills, and offer what little he can to her lessons. Ghost will very likely tag along, because that's what Ghost does =3

Kori's from a warrior alien race, but since she just joined I wanted to get her involved in a plot so she might just hang around the back and watch how other species survive.

If that's alright~ I figured Viserys wouldn't be much fun in this kind of situation. He'd probably just complain and leave through the first day.
