Hey! This is Rose coming to inform you that this lovely man is due for another update and a loss change! In case you're one of three people who doesn't know what happens in Captain America I will cut spoilers. Now last time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.....
An assassin killed himself after Steve caught him following the death of Dr. Erksine! From there it only gets crazier. They take his blood in order to see if they can recreate the super solider serum in the future. (See the Incredible Hulk to find out how that one turns out.) Afterward Steve is told he can't join the party and take down HYDRA. Some senator offers him a chance to fight in another way. Steve accepts not knowing any better and becomes Captain America. It's all just a farce though. Steve doesn't get to serve on battlefields. He does live shows, movies, pictures with babies, etc etc. He's helping out, but not in the way he wants. All this changes when Steve meets up with Peggy again at a show overseas for wounded soldiers. She explains they are all that is left of the 107th which is Bucky's division. Cue Steve freaking out and running off to rescue him with the help Peggy and Howard Stark.
He succeeds in rescuing Bucky and about four hundred other men. Also meets his arch-nemesis, fights him for about ten seconds, and then his enemy runs off because there's explosions. Fun stuff. Somehow everyone makes it out safe and walks to camp. Steve is declared a hero and Bucky gets everyone to cheer for him.
And then.... Steve wakes up here and realizes he can see Bucky in his mind again.
Recap/Spoiler free version of what's going on: Steve is moving to the middle of Captain America: the First Avenger. He has become Captain America officially. He is regaining Bucky's image and losing his tolerance to alcohol in exchange. Steve will be very happy about the first one. He will be knocked out at the end of the family plot in some manner I haven't decided yet and won't be up until next week.
