I think I will have her run -- scientific bent and all -- and save a few. Also wood can be strengthened WITH fire -- you just have to take all the moisture from the wood to harden it (Kiln drying ---why do I work with upholstered furniture and know these things -- one or two small spears/sharp things could be made. Might work, might not? But I think her mind would naturally gravitate that way.
