Life of the Party
I've been promising this loss for well over a year now, and as seen as I don't have a huge amount of hours at work this week, I'm finally getting to it.
So for those who don't know his canon, when Lorne loses sleep, his powers start to go a little...screwy. Instead of reading people's destinies, he starts writing destinies instead, though the power of suggestion. He'll tell someone to do something and that person will feel compelled to do that thing, without really knowing why. In some cases, he can make an offhand comment that a person will take literally.
Here's the examples from the episode in question to help explain a little:
* He tells Gunn to "Mark his territory" in order to be noticed more. Gunn starts peeing everywhere in the building.
* He tells Wes and Fred that they're at a party and should be "three sheets to the wind already" and they instantly become drunk, despite the fact they consumed no alcohol.
* He tells Spike to "be a little more positive" which results in a terrifying cheerful Spike.
* He tells Angel and Eve to "get a room" due to the sexual tension between them and they dutifully begin going at it like rabbits.
SO, this is going to happen to Lorne here, the castle will bypass the sleep deprivation and go right to the fun stuff. Not only that, but Lorne will feel COMPELLED to do this, otherwise he'd just take a vow of silence for the week to save his friends horrific embarrassment.
If you want your character to be involved in this, let me know OOCly what you want to happen, either here or by IM (fanoftodd on aim). I'm open to Lorne suggesting pretty much anything, but let's not have anyone getting hurt or killed, this is a fun loss, after all. For ease of play, and to let those outside of the castle to play if they want to, this is going to be viable over the journals. The character can be affected for as long as you want them to, be it a few hours or the entirety of Lorne's loss.
Any questions? Let me know, I'm always happy to help. Mod approved!
