The idea is that it's easier to pick a side when you have more of an idea of where it's going. Even on middle ground right now you can see that Team Super is being manipulated into moving into the city to be townspeople, and that Team Normal is going to have to deal with it and solve the problem. As things unfold, people can decided if they want their character to do what the Supers are doing, or stay in the castle and (if they want to) do what the Normals are doing.
