I'm bringing in this little bundle of joy; Abby from the movie Let Me In. I was this close to going for book-version Eli, but felt that Abby would have a better chance in this sort of environment. She's being dropped into Paradisa shortly after making a meal at out of someone -- as she's a vampire, for anyone not familiar with her canon.

So, um, as everyone on my Plurk probably already knows and is tired of seeing on my timeline, college has really been kicking my butt lately. So many theatre finals; one for practically each class, and there's A LOT OF THEM AHH.

I figured, instead of totally failing at AC and being a slow uninspired turtle, that I'll be taking a hiatus until end of semester (Dec. 7). I'll be back on that day, ready to roll, and probably full of ideas after being away for so long!

But that said, I'm probably going to still throw slow backtags, if you guys don't mind. I feel terrible for leaving those hanging for so long, and I'll be sure to get to them, slowly until I'm less busy and dying and stuff.

In the meantime, do assume Genis and GLaDOS are on autopilot! For Genis, castmates are welcome to handwave things he's been up to (being a general brat, or cooking, or studying YOU KNOW ALL THAT GOOD STUFF, also totally not fawning over Sophie GOSH);; and for GLaDOS, I entrust her general actions to our Wheatley.

Seven Deadly Sins Plot - DAY ONE

On DAY ONE, only those characters who went to Lastlook and as such were exposed to the original viral release will be affected. As the warning note said,the first symptoms are that of a common cold: coughing, nausea, and headaches. But as the day wears on, the 'common cold' symptoms vanish and the temperaments of those infected begin to…change. As the virus takes hold of their system, they slowly begin to switch to the mindset of whichever sin strain they've contracted. Those with the Wrath strain show their angry side more, those with the Gluttony strain begin to overindulge, etc. They won't even realise they're doing it. As far as they're concerned, they're acting perfectly normal. They will think that this is how they've always been. And besides the change in personality, there's nothing to suggest they're different from anyone else in the castle. Once the cold symptoms have vanished it will be almost impossible to distinguish who has the virus or not from appearance alone.

By the end of the night, infected characters will be shadows of their former selves, consumed solely by whatever sin strain they have, and wanting only to fulfil their new-found desires, be they slothful or envious or whatever.

Infected residents are still able to speak, think and so on, and their personalities remain largely the same, only dominated by whichever vice they represent. Those with the Lust strain would be ~lustful~, those with the Greed strain will want ALL THE THINGS and so on.

Nothing, not friends, not family, will distract them from fulfilling their needs. And recruiting others to their cause, of course. But that comes on DAY TWO. The virus needs a day to take complete control over a character's system, and once it does, the infected characters will gain powers and begin to spread the virus amongst the characters who weren't at Lastlook. More on that on the DAY TWO OOC post.

You are free to have your characters react however they wish, there will be no IC plot post on day one. Do they want to quarantine people? Try to get samples to study? Start figuring out evacuation plans? Panic because they have a virus no one knows anything about? React away!

A repeat: ONLY CHARACTERS WHO WERE ON THE LASTLOOK EXPEDITION WILL GET SICK ON DAY ONE. THEY ARE LISTED BELOW. IF YOUR CHARACTER WAS ON THE TRIP AND YOU'D LIKE THEM TO BE INFECTED PLEASE SIGN UP. If you were on Lastlook and would rather your character show symptoms on another day, that's fine, but bear in mind they can't be infected twice. Characters who went to Lastlook are the only ones who won't be infected by others, as they have already been exposed to the virus on the trip.
