When the Dark comes rising...

This is Lel again, bringing in my second character.  For this one I decided to raid my childhood nostalgia bookshelf.  Meet Will Stanton from the Dark is Rising Sequence.  Book canon, of course.  Anyone here remember it?

Young Will is a solemn and quiet boy from rural 1970s Buckinghamshire.  He enjoys reading, singing, and teasing his many many older siblings. Will is also the youngest and last of the Old Ones of the Light, a race of immortal magical beings who are only loosely connected to time.  To Will, linear time is something that happens to other people.  He also happens to be involved in a rather... unique take on arthurian legend.  Specifically, he plays the part of Merlin to Arthur's son. 

As an Old One Will has access to a lot of magical abilities, among them speaking into other's minds and feeling the presence of Light and Dark.  I put up an explanation of his abilities and permissions post here.  His loss is his ability to feel the guidance of the Light.  No more simply knowing what to do.

He will be arriving in Paradisa immediately after the conclusion of Silver on the Tree.  Just after watching all the other old Ones sailing away to Avalon and all of his human friends forgetting everything.  And after Will accepts his duty as the Watchman of the Light to watch over humanity alone.

If anyone wants to plot, my aim is leloipa.  I also have a plurk under the same name.

yeah so i'm this totally new player who's never been here before, bringing this totally new character who's also never been here before from this book series you've probably never heard of.

hi, i'm that one douchebag that was in this game a few months ago. you know, starts with a b, ends with an akhu. i'm bringing back this one asshole, the resident birdbrain known as Tobias from Animorphs. he has the same canon point as before, book 22 or w/e . his loss is his memories of his aunt and uncle aaaand.

he'll have no memories of previously being here so enjoy your paranoid featherbutt all over again.

little hiatus!

So, from tomorrow until the fifteenth my parents have decided it'd be fun to go camping. Of course, their idea of camping means no computer access, an RV, and a lake with the cleanest coldest water ever. I'll humor myself by pushing my brother into it while I go through laptop withdrawal.

For the next five days, as I will be non-existant, Coraline is going to be doing her usual shenanigans, and Flynn will be trying to figure out where Rapunzel has gone!

I'll see you guys later, assuming we do not get eaten by carnivorous, rabid  bears. 8D
