So hi! I’m back earlier than I thought I would be. I was thinking to myself, “Beth, your LJ name is
elf_wannabe88 and yet you’ve never RPed an elf!” And I decided this was a damn shame. So, I brought you my favorite elf and Tolkien character, Galadriel.
She’s telepathic and psychic, among other elf specialness, so I have a little description of what she can and can’t do
here and a permissions post
here. She tends to, well, judge people based on the amount of “darkness” she senses in their hearts. This seems to be based more on intentions and psychology than innate properties, so if you are, say, a demon who happens to be a wonderful person, she’s going to pick up on the wonderful and not the demon. So please, hit up the permissions post, especially if you are not what you seem or if you just want to have fun psychic times. Luckily, I have the built in excuse of the castle messing with her for everyone who doesn’t want her to know stuff.
Fff. I’ve never played a character this potentially godmoddy before, so I’m going to be extra careful. /nervous. Tell me if I'm doing it wrong.
But yes! She shall be entering shortly, being probably the most alarmed you will ever see her. Her loss is Nenya and she will not be happy about this. She’s from just after healing Gandolf the Grey and completing his transition to Gandolf the White. So, not that long after the Fellowship left Lothlórien. I know Pippin is from later, but meh, she’s used to knowing stuff is going to happen before it does. Oh! And she’s book canon, not that that makes a lot of difference given her canon point. So…yeah. Feel free to harass her. She can kind of come across as
Incorruptible Pure Pureness, which is pretty hilarious for someone who is banned from a place that is ½ Eden, ½ metaphorical elf-heaven. Or at least she thinks she is. The ban has been lifted, but she doesn’t know that yet.
Fun facts:
• She is 6’4.” Yes, really. It’s tall even for an elf.
• We get it, Tolkien. Her hair is AWESOME.
• Singing will ensue. It is only a matter of time.
• Mun has become convinced that Stairway to Heaven is about her. Don’t try to argue me out of it.
