I...should have done this a couple of days ago, but better late than never? ...So basically, as of last Tuesday I'm now working night shift (3-11:30 PST) at a call center. Having a job is great, honest (or at least it will be once I get paid in a week), but it means I'm going to have less time for Paradisa, especially the first week or two while I try to work out a sleep schedule that will let me work my shift and still be around at some point when other people are, too.

Training lasts eight weeks, after which I'll hopefully be able to move to a day schedule. My weekends are Sunday-Monday until then. Also, I am not abandoning the Peace Patrol project in the least, it's just going to be progressing slowly with my attention thus divided. Hopefully I'll be able to work out a balance soon enough, and even more hopefully, I'll be able to get a schedule of four ten-hour days instead of five eight-hour days, once training is over.

After thinking a bit and a bit of inspiration from lady_maz I've written up a survey that I'd like any of Alleyne's current or potential students to fill out regarding their powers. This means things like future themed training posts and other fun things!

You can catch it here. I even filled it out for the elf herself and made some extra notes about it for those curious. You can also post here and I'll copy it to her journal but then you don't get any fancy schmancy (read: incredibly basic and unimpressive) HTML to play with.

So I usually never ever do this unless I'm in dire straights, but GUESS WHAT IT HAPPENED. With midterms on top of my recently contracted strep throat thanks to my wisdom teeth coming in, I simply cannot brain enough to pay the attention paradisa deserves.

I'll be taking a hiatus until April first so I can catch up on school work and kick this horrible disease.

Characters affected are:

Alice Kingsley, who will be holed up in her room reading the various books she's pulled off the shelves, and flipping through old entries in the journal. (No godmod rights here...nobody should need her)
Arthas Menethil, who will be lurking in Icecrown Manor as usual. (Godmod rights go to Dolly if she needs anything)
Clare, who will be holed up in her room being antisocial. (No need for anything here either)
Malygos, who will be WATCHING YOU ALL WITH JUDGING EYES from his cave in the mountains. (See above)


I'll be trying desperately to catch up on old threads/tags, but I'm kind of at the point right now where being awake for more than 5 hours is difficult...or if I've forced myself awake for too long, I can't sleep, so please bear with me. 8(

Allo! Boobs here, just giving y'all a heads up.

ONE, sometime today (read as: whenever I can think up an actual post and am done going OOOOH, SHINY over the packages that are supposed to come today) Bruce is going on a loss! It's a truth loss, which basically means he'll have a hard time keeping his inner monologue, y'know, inner and if someone asks him a question directly, he'll have to answer it. He's also not going to be ale to gag himself at all to escape and if he goes out to try and live in the forest or something until all this is over, he'll wake up in the morning back in the castle. And this is gonna last a whole week.

Poor guy.

TWO, sometime this week Kara's going home for a (mod-approved!) canon bump. Right now I'm just thinking of having her do a really stupid and kind of klutzy move while working the Danger Room and end up knocking herself out, but if anyone has any ideas as to how to knock her out in a different and interesting way, I would love to hear it, especially if it could involve shenanigans and/or new CR of some sort.

Hey guys!

So...I wasn't planning on doing this, but thanks to some very persuasive friends I am going to be disappearing for a chunk of this weekend to go to my first ever comic convention/expo....thing. I'm not really sure what it is. I've merely been told that I have no choice.

Spring break is also ending and, as your typical college student, I've managed to go the whole time without doing any of the homework that happens to be due in the next few days. So that might be keeping me busy until I can catch up and pretend to be responsible again.

I will still probably be around and tagging sporadically, but I'm calling a full hiatus just in case.

Hi guys!

Just a quick heads up. Some of you might be hearing about journals getting suspended without warning, so here's what seems to be the deal:

LJ is working hard to get rid of all the spambots, which means they're looking for emails that are tied to a lot of accounts. Since a lot of RPers have all their roleplay accounts tied to the same email, they have been getting wiped out as well.

Suggestions on how to deal with this -- if you have other emails, try to spread it out so you have less than 20 to an email until this is all over with. If you've had journals suspended in the past few days and don't know why, contacting the LJ staff will generally get it rectified.

Rhyme's birthday is on the twenty-fifth, and to ruin celebrate it, I'm giving her a loss. She's being hush-hush about it, but any of her castmates will probably know this somehow, since they probably learned it post-Game. But even then, she hasn't really brought it up to them. She's told one person (Emil) and he plans to do something.

This is not enough for Rhyme's first Paradisa birthday, so on the twenty fifth, there will be a large neon sign above Rhyme's head, saying that it is Rhyme's 14th birthday. This sign is invisible to her, so if you point it out, she will have no idea what you're talking about.

If anyone wants to throw a party or something (again, either her castmates or Emil unless your character could organize a party within a day) just AIM me at AmaNadeline or post here!

HEY GUYS!

So a while ago some paradisa people made a little oc musebox thing in which paramuns could rp their original characters in a paradisa setting. I think it lasted a week and was promptly forgotten.

Um, but since it's been months and months and we've got a bunch of new people I am going to link it since it is super amazingly dead and has been for a long time!

Here it is!

Since it is a musebox you don't have to worry about your oc getting accepted by a mod :p All you have to do to start playing is fill out the little introduction here, throw it up in that ooc post, and then get to posting/tagging. There is no loss section because it was decided that they would only complicate things for oc's, so there are none!

If you have issues with it Kayla says taking said issues to the Paradisa mods is fine, but really, it is just a silly fun thing casual thing anyway so don't take it too seriously. But if you're interested go post an introduction! :D

Starting on the 21st and ending on the 27th, Kite is going on a Falling Apart Loss.  Basically, the castle is going to be messing with Kite's stitches and parts of his body will be coming off. The AI himself will be unable to stitch them back on and if someone else does it for him, the limb will come off as soon as he moves.

So yeah, body parts all over the castle. Just like when he first showed up! Have fun.
