Herit here again, this time introducing Radu from Trinity Blood. For starters, I'm not going with the "Barvon" translation of his last name, because 1) makes no sense with the katakana, 2) is not a real word/name, while "Barufon" (the more direct translation) is and makes sense for his ethnicity. ... that probably interested nobody, but thought I'd say it. XD
I guess Trinity Blood is not that well-known or popular, so a little intro: The boy (18 - seriously) is a Methuselah, or, to most "humans" in Trinity Blood, a "vampire". He, in return, like all of his people, calls humans "Terran". Trinity Blood has no magic or supernatural things like that, other than technology - hence, the vampirism stems from alien nanomachines in a person's bloodstream. Infection is unlikely (and mostly results in non-lethal or lethal brain-damage), unless you are born that way. As for stats, those vampires tend to naturally be at least ten times as strong and agile as a human, with regeneration and a "Haste" mode, in which by straining their nerves, they can literally move faster than the human eye perceives for a while. But, of course, that's quite exhausting. Most vampires also can transform their hands to claws, and some have added special abilities. Radu? Is considered physically strong (despite being a thin teenager) and in physical combat quite powerful, because he belongs to a subrace called Ifrit - as the name suggests, with the ability to create fire in their palms. The palm itself is fire-resistant, the fire 80 times as strong as napalm, blue, spreading fast, and a bitch to extinguish. There are several ways to seriously wound or kill a Methuselah: 1) silver (both deactivates the Bacillus temporarily and is poisonous enough to kill in more than small doses), 2) sunlight (takes less than three minutes to kill one, at direct exposure, sends the nanomachines in hyper-mode so that they start to eat the body from the inside, while the vapour created in the process looks like smoke, so that it appears the vampire is burning), 3) untreated "Thirst". Thirst means, of course, thirst for blood. TB-vampires have that craving rarely, only every few days, but if they don't act on it (mostly with haemoglobin pills dissolved in water, since direct blood-sucking is considered barbarous), it grows worse, and at last, they lose control, or, if even then they can't get to blood, the nanomachines inside them, which are really the ones that live on blood, start eating them from the inside.
Sorry for TL;DR, that was probably all. D: Right, for what he lost? His memory of Dietrich, while he does remember everything he did. Hence, he'll believe it was all by his own free will. ♥
