Loss
Soooooo, no losses for any of my characters yet. And Astrid gets first dibs, lucky her! Have Astrid, aged six in human years, who thinks it's the morning after the day she was moved to a new home. She's lived in 'homes' for about three months, after her parents died in a shuttle explosion on Sto.
And yes, that bit of canon is made up. But in VoTD, she says she has no family back on Sto, she's not the type to 'fall out' with her family - so dead is the conclusion I came to. In the cheeriest way possible, without the angst of course. Astrid's a tough cookie, even aged 6.
Plus, this gives me a chance to expand on her history/backstory/personality etc.
