THE BABIES ARE COMING
May 20th - 26th





In the past several years (2011, 2010, 2009 & 2008) Paradisa has established a heart-warming tradition of hoisting bundles of joy upon unsuspecting residents. This year is certainly no different!

Residents will wake to find themselves in a room with one other resident, but that's not all! They'll find that a small, strange creature known as a baby is residing with them. Congratulations on your sudden parenthood!

This plot is entirely optional and rather free-form in nature. Anyone who wishes to participate can. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow from previous years:

Residents will receive a baby or small child that is no older than six years old. Twins and triplets are also okay.
Residents can be a single parent or paired together. They can wake up together in the same bed, or be in separate rooms.
The babies will look like their parents; either a mixture for couples or some features of one if your character is a single parent. If your character is not human, the child won't be either (unless paired with a human, in which case it'd be half human half whatever).
If a resident had a baby last year, they can have the same one or get a new one. Same goes for partners!
The babies can have their own room adjacent to the parents, or simply share the same room.
If the baby isn't happy, the parents won't be either! Don't feed your kid? You can't get food, either. They can't sleep? Neither will you!
The castle prevents parents from hurting their children, but being kids, they're prone to scraping their knees, hitting their heads, etc.

Feel free to use this as a plotting post to seek out partners or discuss returning children.

Also, there will be a slightly different ending to the plot this year. Stay tuned for details!

Okay, while I am up and still at a computer, here are the situations with my ladies, for anyone who is interested:

Catelyn Stark will be sitting this one out. God knows she's got enough child related drama going on without it.

Galadriel is kind of available. She's definitely getting her kid back from last year because it will break her heart if she doesn't. But if anyone with a kid and no partner wants to do the blended family thing, I'm cool with that. I might consider throwing another kid into the mix for closer CR if anyone's really interested why would you be?, but I'm iffy on it.

Xena is completely available. Would probably be best if her partner is good with kids because her initial reaction will be to freak out. Because of reasons. Once she calms down, though, she'll be surprisingly good at the parenting thing and definitely dedicated. Good way to see her softer side.

Peter will be getting Mary back. She is now five years old and is still the most adorable child ever. And of course any other babies will be welcome. Best dad ever.

Percy, Clove and Triela will all be sitting it out. No one wants Clove to take care of babies. Triela is more of an older sister type. And Percy would be completely hopeless as a dad :/

Hermione is available if anyone wants to be paired with her.

I only had Jono around for this last year, and he was undergoing a canon update at the time, so that said Jono, Huey, and Jon are all totally up for grabs as baby daddies. Jono will be ambivalent, Huey will be awkward but overjoyed, and Jon will be angsty, seeing as how he's an illegitimate bastard child himself XD

James here is not available for babies unless someone really wants him to be. Otherwise he's just gonna chill and laugh at all you people because babies.

And then get suckered into baby sitting duty probably so you know he's open for that for his CR.

Finnick is more open for kidlets (you know you want the hot kid right?) and will probably, also offer up swimming lessons to the older kids. I make no promises as to their sugar highness state when they leave said lessons but if anyone wants this? Let me know.

Last year, I had Raiden (a cyborg ninja with the top of his head being his only organic part XD) participate in the baby plot solo, with his child being a Metal Gear Mark II, so being a robot isn't necessarily a barrier to having a baby. Just sayin' XD
